This year I am organising a very merry dog walk for all my clients & their dogs.

I feel very lucky to work with some amazing people and their EPIC dogs. It is therefore a real pleasure to walk with you all, catch up and hopefully you will meet a new walking friend too!

Educating your kids about how to treat dogs is essential … it is YOUR responsibility to keep your kid safe!

So here are some top tips for safe interactions with unfamiliar dogs:

🅰️ ASK - make sure they ask “ please can I stroke your dog?”
👀 DON’T STARE - teach your children not to stare at dogs… it’s threatening and can make any dog feel uncomfortable!
🤸🏼‍♀️BODY LANGUAGE - Teach your child to approach a dog using the correct body language but also teach them to spot anxious dog body language!
⏰ TIME - Probably the most important tip! No dog wants to be petted for ages by a stranger!!!! So ensure your child knows how long they can pet a dog for!

‼️‼️ ‼️ NEVER let your child go near a dog that is sleeping or eating … it’s no different to letting them touch a burning flame 🔥 it’s an inevitable bite! ‼️‼️‼️
