Throwback to our 1st adventure day! I heard all the dogs were absolutely shattered the next day after our 3 hour hike😴

This morning Tennessee and I had our last walk before he moves away🥲

When Tenny originally joined us, he was having solo walks, and I gradually introduced him to some new friends, and before I knew it, he was absolutely loving our group walks!

It has been such a pleasure watching this lovely boy come out of his shell over the last few months. He is such a funny character and never fails to make me laugh😂. One minute he’s a couch potato and the next he’s doing zoomies and jumping through hoops.🤪

Hi everyone! I have just done something completely out of the blue and signed up for my first Half Marathon! Which I will be running on the 20th December, just 5 days before Christmas!

Running is something entirely new to me… If you were to ask me 4 months ago to run a 5k without stopping every 2 minutes I would question who you thought you were talking too🤣

Last week I ran my first ever 10k and believe me… it was a struggle. But I loved the challenge! So I’m striking while the iron is hot and I’ve booked my first race, to raise money for a charity that is close to everyone’s hearts and particularly mine!

We have all been affected by Cancer - whether it’s the diagnosis or loss of a family member or friend, or whether you’ve been affected yourself.

My first experience of this grief from this horrible illness was losing my Grandad Hayden in 2013, this hit my family extremely hard. His name was Roger Hayden and he was such a smart, loving and caring man, he played a very important father figure role for me and taught me so much. I was 9 years old when he passed and I wasn’t quite sure how to deal with him not being around anymore. I feel so grateful to of been raised in a home where I could listen to stories of his adventures, his outlook on life or how he used his life to do good and we continue to talk about him 11 years on, I truly don’t believe we will ever stop. Along with my family I still grieve to this day, lately I’ve been missing him more than ever and I feel like this challenge will really help me learn so much more about myself.

My 2nd experience has been more recently with my Grandad Bruce who I love very much, he is currently fighting his battle with cancer. He has recently walked 100 miles himself to raise £500 for Prostate cancer research and I am so so proud of him❤️

My 21st birthday is next summer, I am lucky enough to have youth and health on my side - I am determined to use all that I’ve got to live a happy, fulfilling and adventurous life whilst I’ve still got it.

I can only wish to one day tell half as many stories as my Grandad, and with 1 in 2 people developing some form of cancer in their lifetime - this charity is vital for catching cancer early and one day finding a cure.

At Russell’s Routes I like to offer some super exciting walks to give the dogs something different!

ADVENTURE HIKE🗺️🐾: This is available to my Regular clients, once a month. This 3 hour walk is an awesome opportunity for a good leg stretch, stimulation games and lots of new smells🐕

PRIVATE FIELD HIRE 🐕🐕‍🦺: Every Friday I pick up the dogs and we head out to an enclosed field to have a run around and socialise with doggy friends! This is ideal for dogs that need help with recall but love to play🤪

What an awesome and refreshing first adventure day we’ve had on Friday!

An all girl group with Dotty, Peggy, Pepper and Tami💖🐕

We went through the forest adventuring off track, had a light bite to eat, a dip in the pond and ran through the thunderstorm ⛈️ (I seem to pick good days for these adventures😂)

The last 2.5k was spent running through the rain and the girls helped pull me up the hill when I started to slow down😂

The girls enjoyed a lovely Friday fish and chips🐟🍟 (Spratz, sweet potato chip, peas and salmon nuggets). We made sure to have a nice break and a slow walk after to let food go down and rehydrate before carrying on our journey 🐾🐾

I hope those who joined had a well deserved snooze 😴 And perhaps some other doggies would like to join our fun next time!

Having had a blast at our 1st Adventure hike last week🗺️🐾, we’re now onto our first field hire walk next week🐕!

Whilst we have fun on our regular walks, It’s so refreshing for myself and the dogs to have a break from the norm😁🐾
