Handsome and oh so energetic Bertie came for a bath and brush today. Making sure he's comfortable and free of knots. Particularly in between his toes and pads.
It's worth remembering, even if you prefer your dog with a longer more natural coat, it's very important to ensure matts aren't building up.
Matts inbetween the pads and toes can be very uncomfortable, sometimes causing lameness and sores, while matting on the ears can lead to hematomas, making removal tricky.
Prevention is key for a happy doggy. 😊

The very beautiful and brave Willow came for her first groom since having a hind limb amputation a few weeks ago.
She's adjusted incredibly well and didn't struggle with grooming at all.
A little support was needed for her to have her pads and nails trimmed but other than that she was able to sit or stand on her terms throughout. I really enjoyed helping her today. A tough cookie for someone so small 🩷🩷🩷
