Well that’s us completing 3 days of learning from one of the greatest dog trainers of all time. Sports, behaviour, training and more. It was such an amazing experience to be in his presence learning just a small amount of how he approaches dogs & their owners training problems. We have learned from some great trainers who have learned from him over the years & they all said the same thing “if you ever get the opportunity to, you must go and learn from in person“ so we did. Seeing Ivan work & understand it and realising our training really is inspired greatly by him via some others has just confirmed what a great path we are heading along in how we approach dog training. Since starting play to help behaviour issues well over 7 years ago it’s turned the life of so many dogs around. We feel very lucky to have found all these trainers including through and in turn Jay and the amazing sport we run through . It was also great to spend time with so many great dog trainer friends from around the country who have attended workshops we have hosted & really be able to spend time talking dogs, eating and ofcourse laughing a LOT with eachother. Spending time with good, genuine people really is a great feeling especially when everyone is so supportive of each others businesses. Now we can not wait to continue helping you all with your dogs & hopefully inspire you even half as much as we have been by the last 3days.

Well I ’ve had a great day. I will always stand up for my clients or my dogs even though I know these people won’t have learnt anything. We were on a confidence building walk after 2 of the dogs had recently been attacked. We had a great time. We were in busy carpark and dogs were on leads and getting in their cars when this young, GSD rushed across the carpark to one dog being led away. It had its hackles up with intent and was coming in at speed ,my client quite rightly jumped in front & sent it away to protect his dog(who’s been attacked multiple times) and then got a mouthful of abuse from the owners who shouted the usual “he’s just being friendly leave our dog alone” . At this point I got out the van to tell them if they haven’t got control to please have it on lead as this dog has recently been attacked and won’t know the difference , I was then hit with a barrage of personal abuse whilst the out of control dog ran across the carpark to another dog on lead who had recently been attacked . The dog wasn’t coming in politely or friendly but hackles up at speed to wipe the dog out. At this point the owners head to their car clearly unable to argue their point but never the less still arguing anyway as the dog now rushed across the carpark again this time rushing up at two walkers without a dog it then takes him a while to actually catch the dog whilst telling me I’m a div, he’s a dog he’s friendly etc etc. the end is missed off but after they finally get in their cars he shouts “it’s not illegal is it” to which I replied “yes it is look at the dangerous dogs act” and annoyingly I said 1996 instead of 1991 but I doubt he will look it up anyway!!There must be a way of educating people about the laws and dog behaviour in general. They’ve probably gone away thinking we were all crazy because their dog didn’t bite anyone!! What a day! 🤦‍♀️

IT’S BACK!!! Finally we are offering group socialisation again! Initially just for 4 Wednesdays. Open to current and previous clients only. This is a great way for your dog to learn how to socialise correctly. Learning how to say no to other dogs without having to escalate but also learning how to take no for an answer from other dogs. Appropriate socialisation is a great fulfilment activity also. Your dog will finish each session mentally and physically tired and learn skills to help them navigate the world better. You will learn about body language and socialisation.
Contact us to find out if your dog is suitable or to book an evaluation if you haven’t yet trained with us.
