I’ve always been very creative and I have always loved to paint from an early age. The Bubba Bear journey began in 2015 when I embarked on my greatest adventure yet – becoming a mum to a beautiful baby girl! Formerly a teacher full time I thought I’d be well equipped to deal with a little sproglet! Little did I realise that my daughter would become my teacher for the foreseeable future! I couldn’t

return to teaching full time so I embraced parenthood. Knowing the importance of early development and sensory actitivies, my daughter and I spent lots of time doing ‘messy’ activities, one of which was painting. I loved taking prints of my daughter’s tiny feet (and hands when possible!). Treasuring the size seemed to capture a memory for me, knowing that she will grow everyday. Over the months I began to turn those little prints into pictures for the nursery or gifts for family members. This idea was so well received that I decided to make it my business too! Starting with the hand and footprint pictures leading up to Toddler Art activities. I love that my daughter is such an integral part of my business and I know she loves being a part of it too! A real family business, even my special doggy, Bubba, has had a few paw prints done over the last year and my wonderful husband has just finished building my art studio! Thank you to everyone who came to the special Mother's Say session today! They celebrated their amazing mummies and decorated some wonderful items! I didn't photograph all the incredible creations and completely forgot to capture the buzz of the session but it was a really lovely atmosphere with fabulous families! Thanks once again 💖

Activities include badge making, paper flower craft, glass painting, card making, glitter keepsake picture - all age dependent but something for everyone!

I get really excited when I have a new design request! I sibling picture with digital handprints with added gold detailing! Obviously this is only part way through, the feathers will be added soon which I can't wait to do! 😍 What do you think?

I'm here at the 360 Play Toddler Fayre with some amazing businesses! Loving sharing my artwork with all the parents and little ones! 💖

Finally exploring an activity I did with my art group! We made dinosaur 'eggs' then we cracked them open! It was such fun making them and finally breaking them open a week later! Even though the children knew what was inside they still were excited!

We attempted a stop-frame animation today! Things we've learnt: 1. It takes a long time if you're not prepared (we weren't prepared!) 2. Trying to move dolls house characters is not easy as they don't really bend. 3. Use a totally flat surface - not carpet. 4. Download the app FIRST and take pictures using the app to save time. 5. Sort characters and mini props in advance. We are hoping to do another animation at some point with playdoh characters as I think they will be easier to manipulate. Apologies for the lack of input over the last couple of days. On top of everything we are now having to deal with chickenpox! 😭 Thankfully this absolute trooper is amazing, she understands the importance of not scratching despite the itchiness and is doing so well focusing on other activities. Today we decided to do some science experiments! The first was this fantastic one showing colour mixing and a wonderful chemistry reaction where the fat molecules in the milk twist, turn and contort as they combine with the soap! Love a bit of science! If you'd like to do this at home all you need is milk, food colouring, a deep dish, soap and a sponge or cotton bud.
