Post is a bit late as we officially finished the year a couple of days ago. The scissors have been put away for a rest and the salon is all sparkling ready for 2024!

“A Life in The Service of Animals, is a Life Not Wasted”

Hi, I’m Fay, the owner and stylist here at Fays Diamond Dog Grooming. I have always loved animals and like a magnet find myself drawn to them. I have been very lucky to have been surrounded my entire life with a variety of different animals including a wide variety of breeds of dogs, ranging from a Long-haired Dachshund to the Great Dane. I gained my first City and Guilds dog grooming qualifications in 2004 at a local college. This sparked my passion for the industry but it was in 2014 when I opened my salon when my passion for the industry ignited. It was with the help of the Princes Trust that the dream of owning my own dog grooming salon became a reality and it has truely been a dream come true.

I attended the Princes Trust Enterprise Course (a small business course) and created an in depth business plan to present to a panel. Still one of the best days of my life… I was accepted for the start up business loan and as a bonus awarded a business mentor, Tracy Westley (a bank manager). I am forever grateful and thankful to the Princes Trust and Tracy and was extremly honored when i was asked to be a Young Ambassador.

I am a proud founder member and volunteer of the British Isles Grooming Association (B**A) which was created by groomers for groomers. I am also a founder member of The Groomers Spotlight, both associations are propelling the industry forward to the future with hopes of positive change. As it stands no formal qualifications or training are required to practice as a professional groomer.

Since opening my salon in 2014 I have continued my professional development and have achieved the following:

Level 3 City and Guilds Dog Grooming intro : Distinctions London School of Pet Grooming

Level 3 City and Guilds Dog Grooming Diploma : All Distinctions (London school of Pet Grooming).

Joined the International professional Groomers (IPG) and pursued the qualification pathway and gaining the letters CSP (Certified Salon Professional) behind my name.

Completed the IPG pathway and achieved the highest ICMG Qualification (International Certified Master Groomer).

Level 4 City and Guilds Licentiateship of the City and Guilds of London Institute. (London school of Pet Grooming).

Earning the title of “Fay Greene LCGI ICMG”

I am a firm believer in continuously striving to better yourself and to be within an industry that is continually evolving, I attend countless seminars and competitions to always stay ahead of new trends and latest equipment. I consistently listen and take on-board the industry’s leaders advise and expertise, always en-devouring to stay at the top of my game.

Competed in competition grooming and placed first in my group winning trophy’s and special awards.
