The Royal Welsh Agricultural Society Show 2025
What can we say.....but thank you to all the staff, sponsors, stewards, photographers and of course the judges for a truly unforgettable 2025 Royal Welsh Agricultural Society Show.
Not since Coed Coch, seventy years ago has one stud bred the Champion Section A and B in the same year which was achieved this year when our own Heniarth Sh-boom (Blanche Montana x Heniarth Yippee-aye-Yeah by Roseisle Pandy Tudyr) took the Welsh Mountain Pony title, the Tom & Sprightly Overall Welsh championship and the Supreme In-Hand championship with Mats and Cecilia Olsson's Heniarth Derring-Do (Heniarth Wood-Wind x Rhoson Dorti by Steehorst Kyro) taking the Welsh Pony tricolour, superbly presented by Simon Charlesworth. A thrilling result for our small stud.
Reserve Male Champion Mountain Pony was Springlane Dragoon by Heniarth Quinnell who then became the Reserve sire points winner and the leading Welsh Pony sire award went to Heniarth Wood-Wind with Rhoson Dorti taking the corresponding female title, the culmination of a great show for our homebred Rhoson ponies.
Twelve years ago Heniarth Yum Yum became the only Mountain Pony in the history of the Royal Welsh Show to be Youngstock Champion and then return as a senior to take the overall championship. Now this year Heniarth Sh-boom has become the second pony to be able to claim that honour. A statistic that makes us extremely proud.
Our sincere thanks to Mats and Cecilia for having the faith in Derring-Do to allow him to return to the UK this season and of course to Ceri Fell who had the kindness to allow Sh-boom to return home, giving us such memorable achievements in this, the 30th year of breeding ponies under the Heniarth prefix.
No doubt we will be sharing Royal Welsh pictures for the next twelve months!
Finally we would like to thank Kevin, Nicola and Rod for their help behind the scenes - troopers as always; and the many many those of you who stopped us , sent messages or comments sharing that Sh-Boom and Derring Do made you happy!
