Well done Fran- 6th in her Grand Prix final at pony of the year show today!
Fran is an original Trentvalley girly who started by coming for a pony day at 5 years old. She then took weekly lessons before having Goldie on loan 🐎 following this she then purchased a 128cm British showjumping starter pony from shannon (TV on the flip side) when flip was out grown she was then traded in with shannon for her currently ride Bentley! Bentley is a young novice pony that Fran has done all the work on herself! Fran and Bentley also got placed at blue chip last week.
Franny is still coached by rose and shannon now ⭐️💫
Congratulations Fran you really deserve this, your hard work and lovely attitude never goes unnoticed!
Trentvalley is here to help every step of the way 👏👏

Massive shoutout to our amazing riders (Franny, Emily &Violet) from Trentvalley Equestrian tearing it up at the Blue Chip Championships 2025!

We’re cheering you on from the warm-up ring to the final round — may your strides be spot on, your ponies behave, and your hairnets stay in place.

Let’s bring the sass, class, and a little bit of grass (for the ponies, obviously). Go smash it, team!

🐎Thinking of starting riding?🐎
NOW IS THE TIME

Horse riding offers numerous physical, mental, and emotional benefits, making it a great activity for people of all ages. Here are some reasons why horse riding is good:

1. Physical Fitness
• Core Strength: Riding requires balance and stability, which strengthens core muscles.
• Improved Posture: The act of sitting upright and maintaining balance on a horse helps improve posture.
• Coordination and Flexibility: Riders need to coordinate their movements with the horse, which enhances overall flexibility and body coordination.
• Cardiovascular Health: The motion of riding, especially in a trot or canter, provides an effective cardio workout.

2. Mental Benefits
• Stress Relief: Spending time with horses and being outdoors in nature is known to reduce stress and anxiety levels.
• Focus and Concentration: Riding demands full attention, which improves mental focus and concentration.
• Mindfulness: The act of riding can be meditative, helping riders to focus on the present moment.

3. Emotional Benefits
• Confidence Boosting: Successfully riding and controlling a horse can boost self-esteem and confidence.
• Emotional Bonding: The relationship between rider and horse fosters trust and emotional connection.
• Therapeutic Effects: For many, equine-assisted therapy has shown positive results for mental health challenges, such as anxiety, PTSD, and depression.

4. Social Benefits
• Community: Horse riding fosters a sense of community among riders, trainers, and enthusiasts.
• Teamwork: In group riding activities, people work together, which builds teamwork skills.

5. Connection with Nature
• Being Outdoors: Horse riding often takes place in nature, offering the chance to enjoy fresh air and scenic views.
• Appreciating Animals: It helps develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for animals and their needs.
