Making an appeal to the power of Facebook.

My little boy who is autistic, was crossing Fivemiletown Main Street today at 11am from The Station Barber and has misplaced his much needed and cherished blanket. It’s a blue wool crocheted one (pictured below) and very well loved with a few holes. I can’t express how much he relies on this blanket, it is his lifeline. So if anyone finds it or seen it please get in touch! Even if it’s found in pieces please let me know ❤️ thank you!

Hi Everyone just a little update..

Unfortunately 2023 didn’t start of to the exciting start we had planned..

Kelsey had an accident on Monday resulting in a broken elbow 🤕 this has delayed our opening to at least mid March! Devastated isn’t the word.

🤰🏼Baby #3 is on the way…

We are so excited to finally share this news with you all and I really appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding so far.

I will be finishing up for maternity leave at the start of September (subject to change based on medical grounds) so this is everyone’s chance to block book your appointments from now to then as appointments are limited and it will be first come first served! I am currently booked out to the end of June so please don’t hesitate on messaging me and I can send you through your appointments. 📩

☢️IMPORTANT NOTICE☢️

Folks if any of your beloved pooches display any of these symptoms listed believe please reschedule your grooming appointment and contact your vet for advice, as it is contagious and we don't want to risk passing it on.

Even if the dog booked in hasn't the symptoms but lives with another dog who has we would appreciate you also rescheduling.

Dogs must have no vomitting/diarrhoea for a minimum of 48 hours before being considered for grooming again.

Hi everyone just a little up date from me..

I am returning to work part time from 22nd September.. 🗓

I have received everyone’s messages and am working my way through them so please bare with me! 📖 🖊

I have had to implement a price increase across the board for all full grooms due to the inflation in the industry whilst I was off, if you need a quote whilst booking in just ask 😊

I have also opened up the diary from now to CHRISTMAS 🎄 if all regulars want to prebook all their upcoming appointments please let me know so you don’t miss out on a slot 🎅🏻

💙 Important Announcement 💙

Hi Everyone 🤰🏼

Meadowgate Grooming is CLOSED TEMPORARILY whilst I’m off on maternity leave. Phone line and messages won’t be answered until the week before I intend on returning to work (hopefully September) where I will be more than happy to get back on track with everyone’s grooming schedules 🐶 ✂️

❤️ UPDATE! ❤️

As many of you know we were forced on 26th November to close with just two hours notice.

Thankfully we have a close knit industry here in Northern Ireland and we all teamed together to get a petition on the go (thank you to everyone who signed it) and contacted all the relevant personnel to express our concerns on these closures..

AND IT PAID OFF!!

We have been given the go ahead to REOPEN under the click and collect service (which we already had been operating) we are just waiting on TEO or Stormount to put it out in an official statement/writing so our insurance keeps us covered.

As you can understand the last few days have caused me great stress in reorganising my diary, so please bare with me as it will take me time to reorganise it again! And I won’t be reopening straight away as I have other commitments 👶🏼

I will be in touch with all those who expressed immediate concern for the welfare of their animal first, obviously I can’t change all the appointments back to what they were, so if you do have concerns and I haven’t messaged you by Thursday evening, please private message this page as our phone line is out of order.

Sign Petition: Demand ni executive make dog grooming an essential service as part of animal welfare

Please SIGN and SHARE Everyone

This is a start to us to voice our opinions and the needs of the animals we care for!

🐶We are essential on so many welfare levels (human and canine)
🐶We are not close contact with people
🐶We have all made investments and sacrifices to make or businesses compatible with regulations
🐶 We usually work alone in our premise
🐶 We wash the dogs as soon as they enter the salon to avoid any chance of contamination

It makes no sense for us to be closed And even more disrespectful to have our industry as a clear after thought as we were given 2 hours notice of the sudden change from us being essential since March to suddenly ‘non-essential’

This petition is important incase these ‘regulations’ or further ‘lockdowns’ continue in the future or for longer.

We all love our pets so help them by signing and sharing this petition, every voice matters ❤️

Help support us to lobby Ni executive to make changes that dog grooming be an essential service as part of animal welfare. Regular dog grooming is essential

💔 Urgent - Forced Closure (for two weeks) due to COVID Restrictions 💔

As off 10pm last night our government decided to add dog grooming to the list of non essential businesses and are forcing us to be closed from 12pm last night!

Yes TWO HOURS NOTICE which if like me you don’t live on your phone you didn’t see it until this morning! So my sincere apologies to everyone who is booked in today and tomorrow for the late notice in cancellation but I have to stick to the law.

I will be in contact with everyone ASAP please bare with me and be patient as this is our busiest time of year and with two weeks cancelled it will be difficult to squeeze everyone back in but I will do my best to make sure all our lovely pooches are looking their best for Christmas 🎄 🐶

Confirmation from our government today that all being well we can return to see all our furry friends from Monday 8th June!! 🐕 ✂️ 💓

For everyone who has been in contact with their details I will be contacting everyone individually regarding allocation of appointments and to give a run down on how drop off/ collection will work to comply with regulations.
