Super work with the beautiful Boo today. Lovely rewind and turn back into her owner.
This was our last session today and I'm super proud of how well everyone has done. Prior to training doggo was pulling, reactive (screaming like schnauzers doπ€£) towards other dogs and not reliable with recall. His super progress is down to the work put in by his owners. A little bit every day get you the results you want. β€ Well done.
Despite the rain, we had a great session today. Dogo able to stay engage with his people, with some amazing disengagement from other dogs. Super work, clearly mum and dad have been doing their homework! π
This simple game is called a conversation starter. It requires thinking and lowers arousal. We build it at home and then use it out and about so we can check if our dogo is able to think. It's a simple way of measuring where our dog is emotionally and also is a nice fitness stretch.
Super session today. Not only did we get dogo in the car, but her proximity and recall were on point. Super to see. Positive outcomes take time and effort to achieve. Well done mum for putting in the work. ππͺ
It took around 10 minutes to train this little lady not to dive on food. She was able to ignore a dish of chicken and ask for permission. We will grow this to not trying to counter surf and jump up when people have food. Well done Bonnie, what a star. π
Mabel thinks she can fly. This pup is a serious nutcase. π
A round of applause is needed for the best figure 8's ever. πYou use 8's to lower your dogs arousal and it's a useful exercise if your dog gets out of the car in an excited state before a walk. When they are stressed and over aroused they are more prone to being worried by things they see and become reactive and barky. But this boy just owning 8s. ππ
This looks like any walk in the park, but it's so far from that. The transformation for this beautiful dog has been life changing. From a fear aggressive dog with a bite history to a calm, confident girl who can happily walk past another dog. So proud of her owners and the work they have done to rebuild her confidence. ππΎπ
A very chilly start to our training, but some calming figure of eights to get us started. πΎβ
This lovely chap is doing a super job with magic hand. Building a strong proximity bubble with his owner. Well done π
Have you got a new puppy? Have you forgotten what sleep was? π±Would you like a calmer puppy that doesn't jump & bite, pull on the lead or poop in the house?πΎ I am a PDT trainer and behaviour coach and will be starting a NEW puppy class in the area soon.
Prince is very much enjoying his new squeaky toy her got for his birthday. He looks so cute and adorable until the end, then he looks like a little stinker. ππΆ
Some gentle Figure of 8s, to calm puppy down after the excitement of the car and a new place. This is a very reactive little dog, we have been building his confidence and tolerance of novelty. πΎβ€οΈ
So sometimes you have a week that stretches you, then this happens and makes it all worthwhile. This beautiful boy has never been off lead, his people have been working hard to build a strong proximity bubble. He did so well today he's a super star. β€οΈππΎ
Someone's ready for her certificate of achievement.π This was the pup who couldn't be off lead because she would bolt. Her proximity is fabulous and her recall is spot on. Super girl, well done mum for putting in the work. πΎβ€οΈπ
If you want a calm dog, you need to grow a calm dog. Teaching a puppy how to calm down is the foundation of dog training. You can't teach a dog that's over excited. This lovely girl is enjoying nagging on a hoof and chewing is a natural calming activity for your dog. πΆπΎπ
