Soos Mobile Cat Grooming - Sue Grant Qualified, insured Master Cat Groomer accredited by the Pet Industry Federation grooming in the stress-free comfort of your precious cats home

The cats coat is its most admired feature therefore having it groomed regularly is very beneficial. If it becomes matted or dull it is important to have it groomed as soon as possible. Don't forget short haired cats need grooming too. I operate a mobile service specialising in cat grooming without sedation or anaesthetics, working for short periods of time, guided by the cat’s temperament and allo

wing for rest in between each session. Most matts can be combed out but in the most severe cases clipping off may be the only option. My aim is to negate the need for unnecessary sedation and anaesthesia for basic coat care issues. In operating a mobile service I have found this far less stressful for cats who do not like to be separated from their owners, therefore the cat is far more confident. For most cats, taking your cat to a salon can result in it being stressed before it even arrives due to the car journey. Then it has to deal with all the different scents and smells of dogs and other cats which can frighten and panic the cat before you even start to groom. I want to help you and your cat avoid any unnecessary stress. With a mobile service once the groom is over the ordeal is over for the pet and owner, with no stressful car journey before and after. I also offer cat sitting (in your own home) for local clients (within 5 mile radius of Fleet) if your cat does not settle in a cattery and you would prefer your pet to stay at home. Whether you require grooming for your cat or cover whilst you are on holiday, I can help you. I provide a mobile service for you and your cat's convenience, and all services are provided in the comfort of your very own home. Do have a look at my website for further details on services offered, thank you.

Devastated to post the loss of beautiful Callie recently. She was only 9 but had been suffering from cancer, despite all best efforts from her loving owners Gary & Sean plus her vet, the cancer won. I will really miss seeing this beautiful soul after 7 years. Condolences to Gary & Sean 🤗

Recently I met up with Lesley’s handsome Chinchilla boys, Bertie and MJ.

I’ve been looking after their grooming requirements since March 2017, where has that time gone 😱 they both have Teddy Bear clips to make it easier to maintain their coats, as these boys go outside and Chinchillas are not normally fans of being groomed!!

They are now 15 years old and looking really well, living the best life 🍤.

Firstly, here is Bertie on the table and afterwards loving the fuss 😻. Secondly MJ is more typey and is wearing the cone of shame to make it easier and safer for all involved 😾🤬🤣

Lovely to see you boys, until next time 😙

Typical Sunday for my lot!!

Queenie (7) taken to sleeping in the utility sink🤷‍♀️.

Lucas (12) lording it on top of the tower 👑

Archie (at 17.5) still ruling the roost .. . To Percy (7) … “this is how you do it son”, still keeping the vermin down (a squirrel may have been harmed today)

Handsome Ollie had his regular maintenance groom this week. He’s a lilac British Shorthair, now 9 and I’ve groomed him for 6 years, where does the time go!

A few grumbles as BSHs do but all safely and gently done to keep him comfortable until next time 😻

So pleased to be starting back grooming again, even if it has to be phased!

Here is handsome Felix a large chinchilla Persian boy I’ve been grooming for some years now. He was glad to be free of his knots and excess dead hair!

Well done handsome boy, see you soon x

Well hello everyone, I'm back ... sort of!!

Firstly I must offer a big thank you to Elaine and Becky who have covered my lovely loyal regulars during my recovery time.

I know some of you still have appointments booked with them this month, and, as I am having to phase back with only being able to stand to groom for a couple of hours a day I have been grateful for this.

I will be contacting you all to schedule in your next grooming session soon, and am really looking forward to seeing you and catching up, I've really missed you!

I can say this has been harder than I expected, on a different level to having my hip replaced 2 years ago, I wish I'd known someone else who'd had it done for support and advice. Sadly one of my clients is now having this surgery done too and I hope to be of some support to her, it's mentally debilitating as well as physically, but we'll get there.

My plan is still to work a 3-day week but for now as I can't work full days I will be continuing with a couple of grooms each day.

I look forward to seeing you soon!

Sue x

PS: Rocking the T-shirt Alec bought me 🤣

Happy Valentines Day 😻

Hi, thought I’d give you an update!

Well I’m getting there, slowly but surely. Today I managed to wear trainers for the first time 💪. I’ve only been on paracetamol for the last three weeks now, except after one tough session with the physio 😳

I’ve started doing a few short gentle sessions daily in the gym on top of my physio, on the bike, cross trainer and rower, just 10 minutes but you have to start somewhere! Now to be able to stand for an hour to groom, plus drive and carry my kit - then I can start thinking about a phased return to work, I can’t wait 🙏

Missing you all 😻

I’m so sad to report the passing of little Archie. He was rescued by Ali 5 years ago via Cats Protection in Haslemere, and I’ve groomed him ever since.

He went downhill very quickly with kidney failure and Ali did all she could including the final kindness. I’m devastated and my heart goes out to her.

I’ve been searching for a picture to put in Rainbow Bridge and came across this video clip showing what a sweetheart he was.

Fly high little man, you will be much missed 🌈😻

PS: here is my new ankle for those of you who asked and are not on my personal page! I’ve probably bored my friends with my updates but I’ve been fascinated by this procedure (as well as a little scared).

Recovery is very different from my hip replacement but it was successful and I’m getting there with physio 💪

Sad to report the loss of Trinity yesterday at 17.5. She was a little fighter but heart failure beat her in the end. I’d been grooming her for 7.5 years so knew her and her idiosyncrasies well. My heart goes out to Sue & Steve at this sad time 🤗

Wow, today I’ve had my cast removed, stitches removed and given a boot to start walking in, with crutches!! Day 13 since surgery 😲 love my surgeon 🥰

Feeling a bit vulnerable without support as I’m currently laying on the sofa without the boot, but I’m so relieved to be past that and into the next stage of this journey.

I have taken pictures of my ankle but wasn’t sure you’d like to share that with me but I can post separately in comments if anyone is interested 😘

Today I have been joined by Lucas AND Archie! Most of you know the struggle we’ve had over the last 16 months integrating our rescue boy Lucas with our existing 3 cats. This is HUGE!!! Makes me so happy 😁

Now Archie is staying with me 😻

Edit: …
4.5 hours they stayed on the bed together, with a couple of adjustments, they were almost spooning 😻. Let’s see if it lasts 🙏

Thank you to everyone who has sent best wishes and offers of help🤗

I’m back home, after just one night in hospital 😳

Surgery went well so just need to rest, recover fully from anaesthetic, back in 2 weeks for cast off and staples out, get walking boot on🙏, then physio 💪

Hubby and cats pleased to see me home, Lucas hasn’t left my side🐈‍⬛, he’s a needy boy at the best of times but is purring like a buzz saw now😻

Frustratingly I can’t yet use the I-walk or knee scooter I was kindly lent by a friend as the surgery included drilling a hole in my knee (top of shin bone) for the jig alignment to get the prosthetic ankle absolutely right 🤷‍♀️

Hope to see you soon 💪🤞
