She is so Tiny when she is curled up on the couch.

For so long I have cried everytime I watched her sleep, knowing how fragile she was, how weak and how ill she was, but now I find it hard to find words to describe her. I am just in awe of this little dog.

She is funny, always happy, she wakes up happy and goes to bed happy. I don't think I have ever known a TT who wags their tail and their whole backend for that matter like her.
She reminds me so much of our Labrador Bracken, come to think of it, she eats like Labrador and chases a ball like a Labrador too lol πŸ€”hmm.

I thank God every day for this little life we get to care for, and we get to enjoy. She is making such good progress, I am about begin some gentle exercise with her to see how she takes to it. I will of course update our progress. πŸ₯°

A quick Talya update -

Had our first full nights sleep last night. πŸ˜ƒ I woke before her at 6.10 she woke about 6.40 and came out of her bed, didn't even need the toilet, snuggled up alongside me until 7am. Then we got up to do breakfast, gave her a tablespoon of pumpkin with her breakfast, as she had diahorrea in the kitchen early evening yesterday, when I was away collecting Graham from work, but I know it was caused by the salmon she had at lunch time. First time she has had it, so hopefully it will pass.

Well see how the pumpkin works out, not had much success with it in the past, but thought I'd try again.

Breakfast over, I went off and done the work run, then back and got 10mins before the school run, toileted the dogs and Talya had the best poo we have had since this all began (no photo evidence πŸ˜ƒ) but I did send it to Graham at work instead πŸ˜‰

I am going to get some much needed cleaning done and after that there is a bath with Amara's name on it.

Have a good day everyone and thank you all for being there. 😊

Sorry this is a long one. Warning some 😝 gross stuff in it.

March 8th Journal entry.
Sorry I've been a bit slow in getting this up here, I have not been too good, pretty certain it is just shear tiredness that is the problem.

Thank you for all your comments on Talya toileting. I appreciate your suggestions.
For clarification - she no longer has diahorrea as the problem, she just isn't going to the toilet, so right now we are not trying to cure diahorrea.
She has no problems eating, she eats everything you put in front of her. She has a great appetite. Infact throughout this illness, she has never refused food, which has probably been her saving grace.
She is having high quality supplements which include, Oralade, (Incidently this is amazing for hydrating and energy, within 5 minutes of having this she brings a toy to play. Everyone who has a dog should keep a bottle in house incase your dog takes ill).
She is also having Petplus once a day, and we are waiting on another meal replacement drink arriving called Nutribond. It is coming from the Netherlands, so it is taking it's time making the journey.
In addition in homeopathic meds she is on
Coenzyme Comp
Mercurius Sol
Argentum Nitritcum
And of course acupuncture.

After 24hours complete rest from solid food, she was reintroduced onto liquid feeds first and now her meals consist almost exclusively of Plain Ground Turkey 1tsp butternut squash and no other veg. An occasional meal of white fish is is also on the menu.

I hope this helps clarify where we are at.

I was just hugging Talya and chatting with her. We have not had a great night so we are exhausted and both still curled up on the couch.
I told her how much everyone is routing for her and supporting her in everyway.
We are overwhelmed by the generosity and love that you guys have lavished on us. Thank you just doesn't seem enough.
We find it hard to know what to say to you all, the right words fail us.
Thank uou each and every one of you.

It is important to keep in mind that the treatment that Talya is having and how it is administered is done so, based on all that she is going through and suffering from.
Her treatment has very much been tapered to her individual needs.

This means lots of what she is given is trial and error and may have to be administered differently than would normally happen, given the condition of her body and her bodys ability to process what goes in.
