And just like that, we made it through the mania of dog grooming at Christmas time! 🎄

Myself and my amazing ladies Loren and Claire would like to wish all of our cherished customers new and old, a very merry Christmas! We have loved pampering your fur children throughout 2021 and we will continue to do so in 2022 - thank you for our thoughtful gifts ❤️

Please note we are back doing what we love on 27th December ✂️

A huge thank you to our Bath Buddies Lindsey, Lucy and Katy who have also aided in keeping your pups in tip top condition! 💯

Finally, a mention to Loren and Claire who have really made me as a Salon Manager, incredibly proud. You are without a doubt the best colleagues, best groomers and best friends anyone could ask for!

The cheeky Bella had a spruce up with Vicky today. Bella has what's called "coat funk" after being clipped by a previous groomer, which having a double coat is a no go!

Today Vicky done a deep coat conditioning treatment, along with our new Halloween spa and a scissor tidy up of all her dead ends. How beautiful does she look 💜

A bit of a long but very important post from us 🐾

As the country starts to heat up we just wanted to inform you of the signs of heat stress you should be looking out for:

• Increased or excessive panting.
• Excessive drooling and salivation.
• Barking, whining, anxious behaviour.
• Signs of dehydration (tacky gums, skin tent).
• Increased body temperature (39 ° C or 103 ° F).
• Darker urine than normal or smaller volumes.

More severe signs include:

• Dark coloured (red or purple) gums and tongue.
• Vomiting.
• Diarrhoea.
• Disorientation.
• Staggering, weakness or collapse.
• Seizures.

Pets most at risk are Brachycephalic (short nosed dogs I. E. Pugs, Bulldogs, Boxers, Boston Terriers etc), elderly dogs and dogs that may be muzzled for any reason. Our contact number is 01303 211449 if you have any concerns.

Please rest assured we have air con and fresh bowls of cool water available for your dogs at all times as well as being fully First Aid trained. We will be looking out for any signs during our usual health check when you arrive. Please also remember, it is vital you only walk your dog in cooler temperatures i.e. early morning or late evening, heat stroke can be fatal.

Lhasa Apso Austin had his routine pamper with Vicky this morning, he is adorable!🥺

Austin is on a regular grooming schedule with Vicky every 4 weeks for a Bath, Brush and Pick n Mix Spa and every 8 weeks for a Full Groom and Pick n Mix Spa - this keeps his high maintenance coat in tip top condition! 🥰

This morning Austins mumma and Vicky also booked all his grooms leading up to Christmas due to an extremely busy year ahead! It really does pay to be prepared💪🏽
