Our dear old boy Slieme aka Slim passed away today 🌈. He was the most calm and steady of all grandads until feed time! He would snarl and try to kill you the minute the food hit the bowl but I loved him dearly for his snarling and growling! Often wonder if this was how he lost all his front teeth! Thankyou to Fiona Shaw for letting me have the dear boy for the last few years,he did the most terrific job with tiny foals,unruly yearling c**ts,in foal Mares,wild horses out of training and basically any horse that needed putting in its place! 🤭 RIP dear boy💔 ###

After making the sad decision to close Redkite soon things are starting to wind down. It has been made a lot easier knowing that my beloved mares and youngstock are all going to be well
looked after at Kentford farm stud. Mike and caroline are lovely,very experienced in all area’s and always look after the clients horses like they are their own. They have some spaces available for a variety of horses and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Feel free to ring me and I can put you in touch if anyone is looking for a place to foal their mare this coming season or board permanently .

With a heavy heart i am sad to say that Redkite Stud will be closing its stable doors for the last time at the end of December 2023.

I would like to thank everyone for all of the amazing support over the last 12 years. I have had the privilege of having some of the nicest and most beautifully bred thoroughbreds boarding with me from foaling to breaking and racing.

The people who have worked alongside me have been the best I could ever wish for and have helped to grow this stud into something very successful and very special and I could not have done any of it without you all. You know how you are! ❤️

The friends I have made from colleagues and owners during this time will remain life long friends ❤️

Over the next couple of months I will have a few things to sell including a 5 horse Claydon walker in excellent condition with rubber floor(full service history),hay feeders,round pens and lots and lots of rugs/leather headcollars ,tack and stable/field equipment incase anyone is looking. Remember Charlie?… with the Moon shaped star. 🌙 born and raised at Redkite Stud. Well here he is with his new trainer having sold at Tattersalls this week. Wishing all connections the very best of luck for the future.

Our lovely Foster mare headed back home today. She has done such a wonderful job raising this cracking strong filly belonging to Adam Prescott. Very many thanks to Harriet Glen for trusting us with her gorgeous girl. 🥰
