It's been a while, but we have two new faces this week. We have Rosie and Murren. I think they're going to fit in extremely well and they both have very friendly nature's. I'm looking forward to many more walks with them.
I've had countless people say to me this week, "This is fantastic weather to be a dog walker. You must be loving it?"
I must admit, I do love walking around in this weather and getting myself an awful T-shirt tan. The dogs, however, do not like it. It's very easy to over exercise them in this heat, so I've had to be extremely careful these past two weeks. Many walks have been shortened slightly to ensure they don't wear themselves out. Some have been cancelled altogether.
I always carry around plenty of water and try to refill as many public bowls as possible. I want to thank all the people who leave water bowls outside for dogs passing by too,it's a great help to many walkers.
For all the rest of us not walking around with fur coats on in this heat, enjoy the sun while it shines cause this is Scotland, and it could be gone as quickly as it comes.
