Making use of time with a little training with Krieger, far from perfect- we might try this at class today 😀
For pups this morning, this is Krieger doing a distance down
Afternoon all. Just to let todays visitors know, the Combine Harvester is working around the edge of the field currently. Should be fine by tomorrow afternoon. If anyone is booked in this evening and thinks it may scare their dogs, let us know and we will move your app, even although its within the 12 hour rule. 😃
Beautiful morning, classes are and we have a small agility course today 🌞🐾
It will be our 3rd birthday this year, so thought this would be a timely reminder of why we decided to open the park and we hope you also enjoy our old promo video, been a few changes since then.
As you know we love our German Shepherds, having adopted our first from Brown Street, Kennels, Azeka was a big bear with huge ears and a Barry White bark who taught us quite a bit about the breed. I remember the first time Derek took him for a walk, he had a scarf around his nose and took a shovel with him, glad to say that poop picking up has become much easier 😅.
We decided he needed a wee pal and that's when we adopted the infamous Saoirse from German Shepherd Rescue Scotland. She was a handful, she would bark at dogs that were in the opposite side of the park and it could be rather embarrassing walking her, especially when you had to walk past other dogs, people would stop and stare, many would comment she should be muzzled or they'd give you that look that said a lot more than words could ever say. She was a sweet heart with people and we put a lot of work into her, meaning that she was able to live happily with Azeka and then Kohl, Diesel and Hunter. If there had been such a thing as a dog park when we first adopted her, life would have been so much easier. We used to take her to Caird Park (sadly this has been built on now) as it was one of the quieter parks, Derek would play with her and Azeka whilst I would watch the 4 corners of the park for any potential approaching dogs. She was an amazing girl, we adopted her aged 4 and she lived until she was nearly 15, we think because she was fiesty and stubborn that this is why she lived such a long life, determined until the end.
This is very much why we decided to open the field, the first one in Tayside and Angus where dogs could run with true freedom and owners could completely relax, because we get what it is like to have a reactive dog.
We do hope you enjoy the field and thank you all for your continued suppo
Classes are on, nice and dry, a little chilly in the wind so wrap up warm, ground is good today so we can do a little agility 😊
Impulse control at Pawsnrun, well done everyone 👏👏
