CHIP UPDATE: Chip is home! He was very happy to see Manny and I this morning although he is absolutely doped up on pain meds. He slept all the way home and is now asleep in his crate. It's still a long path to recovery...I had no idea how long! 4 to 6 weeks crate rest 🫣 He will not be impressed once he starts to heal. But to ensure a successful recovery we must stick to it.
PLEASE KEEP SHARING...Chip's final, total medical bill was £7,239, of which his insurance covered £3,200.

A whopping 1355 numbers taken for the fundraiser for Tilda and Chip xx 😘

You may have seen the post about Tilda and the devastating news that she passed over rainbow bridge, I had offered her family help with on going vet bills but after losing their precious girl the family were still left with a rather large outstanding vet bill, so I am still offering the family a donation from the fundraiser to help with that.
Also the very beautiful, generous Becca Furbear from A & A Creations has offered to make Tilda’s family one of her gorgeous bespoke memory boxes, these really are beautiful and I will share the finished box once Tilda's family have received it
I also sent her family a little memory weagle x

This evening I credited Chips vet bill with £600, Chip had his operation yesterday and is doing well his mum will be hopefully picking him up on Monday morning so I thought it would be easier to credit his account before she has to collect him xx

Update on Chip xx

CHIP UPDATE: Operation went well and he had no problem with the anaesthetic. He came round well and is nearly properly awake now. PHEW!!! I should be able to visit him over the weekend and as long as everything goes well over the weekend he can come home on Monday. Now I can breathe easy.

Tilda and Chip

Chip is needing an operation for a disc issue in his neck, unfortunately the cost of the treatment outweighs the amount of insurance money his mum has available 😢 (4k)

And Tilda's family who unfortunately had to let Tilda cross rainbow bridge very recently, I was approached to help Tilda when she was going through treatments to try and make her better but she ended up.too poorly to save xx but the treatments she did have have left her family with a large outstanding bill they need to cover because like Chip the insurance cover just wasn't enough (8k) 😢

Gill from Bear’s Wears has also donated a collar and bow set of the winners choosing 😀 I'm going to add this to the 1st number drawn as a additional prize

I would like to introduce Chip to you and his story.
Chip is one of the beagles in need we will be supporting with the valentines fundraiser I will be starting on Friday 31st January.

Chip is scheduled to go in for his MRI and possible operation tomorrow morning and I would like to wish him good luck

I have also shared his go fund me page on a previous post if you would like to follow his story or make a contribution x

Hi, my name is Sam and I adopted Chip at the start of lockdown. He is a big softy; friendly, cuddly and always hungry! He is 9 years old and loves long walks, his weekly run around at Solihull Beagle Meet and paddling streams. He loves children!

A few weeks ago he started to struggle to get up, and then to walk. He got worse very quickly, and the pain in his back became excruciating. He is currently taking 4 different painkillers, 3 times per day, cannot be left alone, cannot go up and down stairs and cannot walk for more than 10 minutes without collapsing. This is devastating for him, he is becoming depressed and I don't want him to give up. The vet has said he needs an MRI scan costing £4,000. Chip's insurance policy covers £4,000 and I have already spent nearly £800 on vet appointments, vaccinations, injections and an ultrasound scan. Due to his age I have to contribute 20% towards any bill.

Many of you will know I have 2 gorgeous dogs Chip and Manny. Currently Chip is very poorly and needs an MRI scan and I've been forced to set up a funding page to try to pay for this as his insurance policy won't cover all of the £4,000 it is expected to cost. Busy weekend at weagle HQ Storm Eowyn did hold up proceedings a little as we were without power for 20 hours.

I'm hoping to have about 25 weagles available as prizes for the fundraiser which I hope to start on Friday 31st January and will do the draw the evening of Wednesday 4th of February hopefully giving plenty of time for the weagles to arrive in time for valentines day 😀

I will post details and some teaser photos on Thursday

But for now I thought you would like to see some photos of the processes x

When a ragging storm outside gives you the perfect excuse to create weagles all day 🤗

On a much sadder note poor wee Tilda crossed rainbow 🌈 Bridge last night, thought are with her family I still intend in donating some of the funds raised from the upcoming fundraiser to help her family with the outstanding vet bills xx

I have also been asked to help with another beagle in need Chip who is suffering at the moment and will be needing an MRI to determine what is going on, the chances are the 4k insurance cover he has will only cover the scan bot the potential treatment required xx

Some of you may know that one of our regulars at the Enslow Meets, little Tilda beagle, is very poorly (details in comments). Tilda’s owners are up to the maximum of £8k on their insurance, and are now having to fund all treatment themselves in order to try and help their little hound. As Tilda’s Mum was instrumental in helping to set up the Playdates at Enslow, we have decided that all proceeds from the Enslow February Playdate Raffle and Cake Sale will be donated to help pay for Tilda’s treatment.

So, not only is that an excellent reason to eat extra cake, I have some wonderful Raffle prizes up for grabs including a Weagle Your Beagle voucher and these wonderful valentine Weagles kindly donated by Gillian Mitchell. Tickets are just £1 each and can be purchased at the event, or up until 6pm on Friday 31 January by BACS or PayPal - search email [email protected] (please use “Friends and family” and do NOT mention raffle, tickets etc). When the radio announces its only 26 days till valentines day! I thought I had better get some prep work done, thankfully after a while away from weighing and rolling body parts due to a Rheumatoid Arthritis diagnosis my mum is able to help again and using it as hand therapy ❤️ which has been a massive help x

I will hopefully be running a quick fundraiser at the beginning of February with some valentines weagles and fingers crossed 🤞 the mini packets of sweeties I've ordered for them will arrive this week x
