Im so chuffed that my Dog Country dog park project has been shortlisted for the Digital Tourism Think Tanks X awards in the 'startup innovation award' category, I would never have got this far without your overwhelming and heartfelt support, thank you 🐾❤️

This means that Dog Country is also eligible for the 'peoples choice' category so if I could ask you to find a moment to click through and nominate me I would be extremely grateful.

Please pass on to others in your household + friends, family, neighbours and any other dog loving folks you know who might have a minute to support this exciting opportunity for Lochaber.

Cheers

Not only is our Heather Honey delicious, but it is also a healthy alternative to sugar. Mix into your tea, or even in your baking for a guilt free sweetener!

While there is no scientific evidence to support the theory that eating Local Honey helps with hayfever, we can confirm that mixed with lemon, ginger and hot water - it is the best remedy to soothe a sore throat.
Honey is an antioxidant and full of anti-inflammatory properties... but mostly, it's just simply delicious 🍯🐝

Forest Bathing & Laughter Yoga, Inverness

Natalie from Lighten The Load and I will be joining up again on Sunday 21 July for another laughter and nature-filled morning at the inthebotanics.

😆Laugh - guffaw - chuckle - howl - snigger - titter - giggle - come and start the day with us as we share the benefits of a 'right good laugh' within the relaxing setting of the botanic gardens in Inverness. Natalie guides us through various exercises to make us chuckle, giggle and hoot with laughter before we settle down for a cuppa and a bit of cake! Laughter really can be the best medicine and it is surprising how easy it can come once you get that first snort out the way!

🌳After our refreshments, we shall head deeper into the gardens and take time to connect with nature and perhaps for some, reconnect with ourselves. As a qualified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide I'll guide us slowly through a number of invitations to help us connect and discover the healing powers of nature. We'll take time to explore texture, smell, colours and more.

This is a great way to spend a morning with friends and family or just come and treat yourself!

Booking required and all your refreshments are included https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/laughter-yoga-and-forest-bathing-at-the-botanics-inverness-tickets-768986016877?utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&utm-medium=discovery&utm-term=listing&utm-source=cp&aff=ebdsshcopyurl

Trees for Life are transforming the iconic but derelict Glen Affric mountain bothy into an eco-friendly weather-tight base. It’s not possible to plant trees in this remote location without a place for volunteers to stay, so in renovating Athnamulloch Bothy Trees for Life can push on with restoration of the Caledonian Forest in this part of the glen in partnership with Forestry Commission Scotland .

A final £30,000 is now needed to complete Trees for Life’s most ambitious fundraising endeavour of recent years. This will bring the bothy back to life with new timbers and flooring, the installation of a kitchen, living room, bedrooms, drying room, and a bathroom with eco-friendly energy and water systems.

To support the Build the Bothy appeal, please visit www.treesforlife.org.uk or call 0845 458 3505.
