Can I just say be a big thankyou so much to everyone for their patience this last week. Especially with it being the run up to Xmas and I know how much you all wanted your dogs to have their Xmas trim. Trust me, I would have much preferred to be fit and well and at work than at home in bed with this virus. I kinda shared the love and took Vanessa down with me too 😔

Someone at a garden centre last week accidentally dropped a snow globe. I was in like a shot, feeling like a bit of a pain in the bum, but said “please wash that down, dogs coming in here will enjoy licking that and it’s toxic”. Just wanted to raise awareness! Be careful, these contain anti-freeze 😬

*I am a small business.
*I am not part of any corporate company.
*If I'm not working, I'm not earning.
*If dogs don't turn up or cancel last minute,
it has a big effect on not just my business
but myself and my family.

I have had 3 dogs either not turn up or cancel last minute this week alone (those with certain circumstances are not included in this rant)

So if that's an average of say £48 each, that's £144 down already and it's only Wednesday morning. In this time I am still also paying to heat the bath as I was expecting a dog to turn up. Probably end up throwing away shampoo that was mixed ready specifically for that dogs needs, pay staff and all the other general costs to run a business, all whilst we wait.

I am turning people away on a daily basis as my books are full. As you are all aware, you all book months in advance to know you have your appointments in and so when dog does not turn up or I am given short notice, those spaces often can't be filled.
If we have your mobile number, which we do for most, you all get texts at the time of booking, as well as a reminder 3 days before your appointment.

So please. I ask. Please respect that I am just a small business. No big boss to pay me whether a dog turns up or not gives short notice. As much as I am lucky enough to love my job, it is just that, a job I need to earn a living from, it is not just a hobby.

Like all small businesses, use and respect it, or loose it
