The phoenix rose from the ashes last weekend just in time for the cold snap. Far from the finished product but at least a roof over their heads. Quite a number of bales now discarded but should still be enough to see them all through the winter.

Well, Storm Darragh certainly struck Hillview Llamas with avengance yesterday afternoon. All the females were penned inside their shelter/hay store with a fresh bale of hayledge at 2pm to protect them from the storm, by 4pm they were admist wreckage. The whole roof (20x5m) had been lifted, telegraph poles and rafters included, by the wind. Then later in the evening, another smaller shelter turned on its head. Thank you to those friends who helped me make things safe today. The rebuild will take some time and any volunteers welcomed.
