This has to be my favourite Dun Fallow I have bred so far.
Look how bright his tail is!

I'm going to struggle with names for him. Hopefully we will come up with a beautiful name for him.

Dun fallows are the rarest bird in the UK currently.
The fallow gene makes the bird have bright red eyes, whereas a German fallow has red eyes but with a white iris.
The fallow gene also dilutes the body colour up to 75% however... the Dun fallow gene is slightly different. From my personal experience at breeding these and watching them grow, they lose between 20-30% of body colour. They still have that bright shimmer to their feathers.

I cant wait to see how he will look when he has his adult feathers 😍

LETS TALK PRICES! 💷🚨

I always get asked what my prices are for my birds or that I am too expensive. There is a reason as to why my prices have gone up and I will break it down for you all to see.

To start with, (depending on mutation) the rarer the bird, the higher the price because of that reason... it's a rare bird.

I treat my whole flock with preventative meds every so many months, again depending on what the meds are. E.g Exzolt, Ronivet S, Sodium Benzoate etc.

Every bird that is sold from me has had its mite and worm treatment, treated for canker, its been fed on a high quality seed and veg diet (seed is expensive).
Also my cleaning products that I get all add up to the cost too.

All of these are taken into consideration when pricing my birds because this covers the costs of my supplements, diet, meds and cleaning products.

We have had these beautiful birds come into our care.
Even though neither are rung, we can tell that these birds are still very young due to no white iris in their eyes. This forms when they reach adulthood.
They seem ever so brave and exploring their temporary cage. After the 4 week quarantine, they will be joining the rest in the aviary.

We haven't named them as of yet. We have 1 female and 1 male.
I tried to get some good photos of them exploring.

I've ordered some split rings which will be the colour red meaning 2024 bred :)

some call them birds of colour some call them miniatures.

But what counts is the UKBC welcomes them to our shows and meetings. We have interviews and online meetings to talk about them. So why not come and join the family and enjoy all they have to offer.

My winnings from yesterday. My german fallow had best heritage 2023 ring and my pet cage entry came 2nd place. I also had x3 vouchers of 20kg bags of seed and prize money too.
