Hill House Sport Horses Ltd is looking for an experienced groom to join us at Hill House Farm near Frome, Somerset. Applicant must have experience of caring for competition horses at a high standard. 10 - 12 horses shared amongst a friendly and hardworking team. Usual yard duties included, we are looking for someone who can take sole charge using their own initiative whilst we are at shows. Other jobs could include helping with youngstock. This is a full time, long term position ideally to start in May. Fantastic facilities with accommodation provided off-site, 10 minutes away, so therefore a driving licence is essential. 5.5 day week. Wilson Youngstock is looking for an experienced stud manager to join our team in Somerset, UK. We are looking for a hardworking and motivated person to help take care of and manage the youngstock on the farm (approx 30 horses) help with foaling around 9/10 mares each year, assist vets with all stud work and help with the maintenance of the farm. The job will require the applicant to be a good communicator and be well organised.
Previous foaling experience, knowledge of handling Youngstock and a driving licence is essential for this position.
Included with this role is your own on-site fully furnished annexe with 2 bedrooms & en suite bathrooms. The house has a fenced off garden and all bills are included with the wage.
This is a long term, full-time position ideally to start in March/beginning of April. It would be a fantastic opportunity to look after and care for well bred Youngstock in a lovely location with super facilities.

- L’amour 4th in the 1.50 Jump Off class
- 8yo Quality Time of Picobello 2nd in the 1.40 speed, 6th in the Mini Major & 8th in the 1.45 Jump off class.
And our horse of a lifetime Imagine de Muze was 3rd in the 1.55 International Stairway & then went on to jump 3 clears at 1.60 and win the Ripon Select Foods C**k O’ The North 🥇🐓
