I’m excited to share that I’ve been awarded the Veterinary Osteoarthritis Alliance (VOA) 1 Paw Accreditation after completing the VOA Academy course. The VOA is a multi-disciplinary group focused on improving osteoarthritis (OA) care for animals. Their mission is to enhance the welfare of animals affected by OA, educate professionals, promote best practices, and provide accurate scientific information. The VOA is dedicated to advancing OA management through theoretical and practical training, access to the latest research and technologies, and fostering collaboration across professions to improve outcomes for OA patients.

For dog owners, this means I am equipped with the latest knowledge and resources to provide the best care for your dog’s osteoarthritis. I can offer evidence-based treatments and tailored plans to manage pain, improve mobility, and enhance your dog’s quality of life.

🐾 What Makes Squirrels Chase Veterinary Physiotherapy Different? 🐾

At Squirrels Chase Veterinary Physiotherapy, we’re a family-run business dedicated to keeping your dog happy, healthy, and moving at their best! 🐶💙

✨ Personalised & Consistent Care
Beth is our sole physiotherapist & hydrotherapist, so you’ll see the same practitioner at every appointment. This helps build a strong bond with both you and your dog! The same therapist overseeing both physiotherapy and hydrotherapy ensures a consistent understanding of the dog’s condition, progress, and response to treatment, reducing the risk of miscommunication or gaps in care. Dogs often respond better to familiar handlers, reducing anxiety and promoting a more positive experience, especially in water-based therapy.🐾💛

✨ Expert Gait & Pain Assessments
With expertise in both physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, I can continuously assess gait, muscle function, neurological function, and pain, allowing real-time adjustments for safer rehabilitation and reduced risk of compensatory injuries or re-injury. 🎯🐕

✨ Tailored, Safe & Effective Rehabilitation
With expertise in both physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, I provide a seamless, targeted treatment plan for your dog’s specific needs. Real-time assessments allow for immediate adjustments, ensuring safe, effective progress without delays from multiple professionals. Helping your dog move more comfortably and confidently! 💪🐕

✨ A Stress-Free Experience
I extend our appointment times so there’s no rush during treatment and aim to prevent overlapping appointments, meaning you and your dog won’t meet another dog while on the premises. 🏡🐶

✨ Better Communication with Owners
A single therapist provides clear and consistent feedback, helping owners understand their dog’s progress and how to support them at home without conflicting advice.

I truly care about every single one of my clients, often working over hours to make sure each dog gets the best possible care and rehabilitation. My passion and dedication ensure that your dog’s well-being is always the top priority! 🐾❤️

Hi everyone!

For those who don’t know me, I’m Beth-a qualified veterinary physiotherapist and hydrotherapist passionate about helping animals recover from injury, manage pain, and improve mobility. I specialise in physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, and tailored rehabilitation plans to support dogs through recovery-whether post-surgery, managing chronic conditions, or for fun fitness sessions. I also have experience working with dogs with behavioral challenges, ensuring every dog feels safe and comfortable by taking things at their own pace.

A little about me: I’ve personally undergone hip and knee surgery, as well as nerve damage, so I truly understand the challenges of recovery and the importance of structured rehabilitation. Before my injuries, I played netball and basketball. I have two dogs and a horse, and my favorite drinks are a good cup of tea, an iced caramel latte, or a Pepsi Max- plus, I can never say no to a cinnamon roll!

Interestingly, after university, I originally planned to work only with horses, but now my focus is completely the opposite and I spend all my time in the canine clinic, which I love!

Outside of work, I love watching basketball, especially the NCAA and WNBA.

I’m always learning new techniques to improve the care I provide. If you’re curious about how physiotherapy or hydrotherapy could help your pet, feel free to drop a comment or message me- I’d love to chat!

Love Dogs? Want to Work with Animals?

Dogworthy is looking for a reliable volunteer assistant to help with our puppy and adult training classes. 🐾 Taking part in teaching and learning hands-on skills

What We’re Looking For:
✔️ Reliability is key! Must be able to commit to at least one shift per week for six months
✔️ Conscientious, with good communication skills

✔️ Bonus: A good sense of humour never hurts!

What You’ll Get in Return:
✨ Discounted dog training

I hear these comments in the clinic all the time! But here is the thing- sometimes what seems “normal” is actually a sign of pain or discomfort that we’ve gotten used to. Dogs are experts at hiding pain (they don’t always vocalise pain the way we expect), and subtle changes in movement, posture or behaviour can be their way of telling us something isn’t quite right.

🐾That “funny” walk/run? Could be joint pain.
🐾 That extra grumpiness or reactivity? Maybe they are uncomfortable.
🐾 That odd sitting position? Compensating for an issue.

If you have noticed something but never really questioned it, it might be worth a second look. Dogs have such short lives- don’t let them spend most of it in pain!

I am beyond overwhelmed and incredibly grateful to be named a finalist for Animal Therapist of the Year! 🥰💜

As a small business, this recognition means more to me than words can express. This journey has been nothing short of amazing, and I couldn’t have gotten here without the support of the wonderful dogs, their owners, and the veterinarians I collaborate with. For every wagging tail, every happy owner, and every moment I’ve been able to assist in the healing process, this award is for all of you. I am so fortunate to walk through the doors every day, knowing I get to make a real, positive impact. Thank you for trusting me with your furry friends—it’s my absolute joy and privilege to be part of their journey to better health. This acknowledgment just inspires me to keep doing what I love and give even more to the work I do. Here’s to many more tails to wag and many more lives to change! 🐶🐾💜
