Are you looking to travel abroad with your pet this summer? If you are, you will be required to obtain an Animal Health Certificate (AHC) for them.
An AHC needs to be issued by an Official Veterinarian (OV). Check with your veterinary practice to see if they have a qualified OV because not every practice will have one.

Today is a very sad day for us at Bennett-Williams Vets as our wonderful practice administrator Sally is leaving us to enjoy her very well deserved retirement ☀️.
In her ten years with Bennett-Williams, Sally will have been a familiar face to many - whether in her starting role as a receptionist, as head receptionist or at the heart of the practice management team. She has been a kind listener, a wise adviser and had so much input in the daily running of the practice (debt management, health and safety oversight, quality improvement duties, practice standards assistance - to name but a few!) that we’re still unsure how we’ll manage without her!
Sally is loved by all and has been the glue that holds our lovely team together, she is an absolute force to be reckoned with and will be truly missed 😢
THANK YOU for everything Sally, enjoy your glass or two of bubbles tonight and we will see you for your leaving party next month 🍷 🍾 xx

Heat stress starts as a reversible condition, but if not managed it will develop to heat stroke, which is extremely dangerous.
If your pet shows any of these signs, they should be moved to a cool area and offered plenty of water to drink.

Unlike us, pets have no understanding that hot weather can be
harmful. We control their environment, their access to water
and their exercise, and they can’t speak up if they start feeling
unwell. Heat stroke can rapidly progress and, even with veterinary treatment, is often fatal.

Last Saturday our wonderful vet Dave competed in the TEC Eryri The Crossing half Marathon, a distance of 21.4k with elevation of 1336m - a last minute route change added a wee bit extra on top of this distance too!
Dave came an EPIC 5th place overall and an incredible 3rd in his age category - well done Dave, you are phenomenal 😀

🦮Deafness is rising in the UK; by 2035, it is estimated that one in five British people (over 15 million) will experience hearing loss. 🦮
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is a national charity that trains dogs to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds like the smoke alarm, alarm clock and even a baby’s cry. Their burgundy coats also act as a visual reminder to the public when they are out and about that their partner is deaf. Donations raised through Pennies when you pay by card help support Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. Just a small donation can make a big difference!
