Today is International Day of Friendship, and those of us lucky enough to share our lives with a dog (or 3!) know what a privilege it is to have them as our best friends. We'd love to see some photos of your best buddies 🐾💦
If you’re travelling to us today via the A15 please be aware that there are big delays around the showground due to an event. Alfie here recommends finding an alternative route 🐾💦
For those of you travelling to us this afternoon / evening.

Happy National Puppy Day! We love seeing puppies here at Millhaven, hydrotherapy is a great way for your puppy to exercise while their bones are growing, the low impact environment of the pool allows them to work off physical and mental energy safely. Hydrotherapy is good for a puppy’s mental and social development as well as helping to build their confidence 🐾💦
Handsome Roman absolutely loves his time in the pool 🐾💦
We’d like to wish lovely Oscar a very happy 10th birthday! He celebrated yesterday in the water treadmill, with lots of treats of course 🎁🐾💦
Lovely Buddy is one of the happiest boys we’ve ever met, he’s taken all of his operations in his stride and been the same with his rehab too. He is a pro in the water treadmill and we love welcoming his waggy tail through the door each week 🐾💦
Our phone lines have switched to VoIP this week and we are experiencing some issues. For any enquiries please contact us via 07486 460550 or [email protected]. Apologies for any inconvenience caused, we hope to get this sorted asap 🐾💦☎️
‼️A15 road works ‼️
If you’re travelling to us from Lincoln please be aware that you may need to find an alternative route or allow extra travel time due to works on the A15 by the Lincolnshire Showground.
We know road works are rubbish so here’s gorgeous little Bertie to make you smile! He had his first introduction to hydrotherapy session and was a superstar in the pool. We’re looking forward to watching his confidence grow! Great job, Bertie 🌟
Happy New Year to all of our wonderful clients. We hope 2024 is full of adventures with your dogs.
It’s always a lovely start to our year seeing all of your dogs, and today JJ celebrated his 10th birthday with us! He had a great time in the water treadmill and has a big birthday cake waiting for him at home, so that sounds like the perfect birthday to us 🎂🐾💦
That's a wrap for Millhaven 2023... a big thank you to all of our wonderful clients for their continued support, we have loved our time with your dogs.
It has been our privilege spending this year with so many special dogs. We are also fondly remembering the dogs who we have had to say goodbye to this year, and sending love to their people, they will always have a very special place in our hearts 💫
We look forward to welcoming you back in the new year and the new paws we are yet to meet.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of the team at Millhaven. Enjoy your dogs! 🐾💦
Lovely patience is going to be toasty warm on her way home after her water treadmill session today.
We will be putting in an order for more HotterDog fleeces this week as they have been very popular in this cold weather ❄️ We highly recommend your dog having a fleece post treatment, to keep their muscles warm and relaxed, and help wick away water to dry them quicker.
We like the HotterDog fleeces because they are quick and simple to get on, and comfy for your dog to curl up in. They come in black, red, green and purple.
If any of our clients would like to order a coat, please let us know at your next appointment and we can add this to our order 🐾💦
How handsome is Henry?! Henry is 2 years old and has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia, he copes well with his condition and his owner aims to slow the progression as much as possible, while still letting him enjoy being a young and energetic collie! The pool is the perfect place for him to have a physical and mental workout, without the impact he would have on his joints on land.
He was a little unsure on his first session, but by the second he was having a brilliant time! 🐾💦
Beautiful Reeva enjoying her time in the pool today 🐾💦
Fabulous Seamus had his 150th session with us today! A total pool pro, attending now for maintenance following stifle surgery 4 years ago.
He has us all wrapped around his paw. We look forward to many more cuddles 🐾💦
Lovely Daisy has been recovering brilliantly following spinal surgery for IVDD. She’s taken to her time in the water treadmill like a pro. Great job, Daisy 🌟
Handsome Mr Barry is a superstar in the water treadmill, he has us all wrapped around his paw 🐾💦
Lovely Lola brings her brilliant stick with her for her sessions in the pool. Lola joined us following a diagnosis of osteoarthritis, she is able to enjoy both a physical and mental work out with the support of the water. Not only is the warm water good for relaxing her muscles and increasing blood flow, but it’s a lovely place to be on a chilly winters day ❄️🐾💦
Lovely Fennic joined us recently following FHNO surgery, this is an operation to remove the femoral head and neck in cases where the hip is diseased or damaged. He’s a super little boy who was a little unsure at first, but we are starting to see his confidence grow. Great job, Fennic 🌟
Handsome Mr Zebo joined us in the water treadmill this week. He has been showing signs of hind limb weakness at home so we will be working to build muscle tone, improve joint range of motion and hind limb strength with him. He took to everything like a pro and we’re looking forward to seeing him progress. Well done, Zebo 🌟
Marley looked devilishly good after his hydrotherapy session yesterday 👻🎃
Wishing you all a Happy Howl-o-ween!
And a special thank you to Seumas and his Dad for our pumpkin again this year 🎃
Edit - thank you for all of the shares, her people were out looking for her and she’s on her way home 💖
We have found a beautiful little black lab girl (possibly cross) she’s safe and well over night, we were unable to find a chip when we self scanned her and no collar. Found in Glentworth.
Please share so we can find who is missing her 🐾🐾
Our phone line is now working again. Apologies for any inconvenience caused ☎️🐾💦
Lovely Poppy joined us in the water treadmill following TPLO (Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy) surgery for cruciate disease. Today she had her 4th session with us, she’s been a superstar and is already happier and more playful at home. Well done, Poppy 🌟
We are currently having problems with our landline, if you need to contact us please call 07486 460550 or email [email protected] 🐾💦
Millhaven’s Jacob and Oliver share a birthday! Today they turned 13 and 4, and they’ve celebrated by doing all of their favourite things.
They both love their time in the pool, but Jacob is definitely the most enthusiastic of our team dogs when it comes to swimming.
Do you celebrate your dog’s birthday or Gotcha day? We’d love to see some photos! 🐾💦
We’ve been looking back at some memories today of all the wonderful dogs that we have treated over the years, and wanted to share this video that has a special place in our hearts. Wonderful Ozzie 💙
It’s Day, a day to recognise that black dogs are often overlooked in rescue, Millhaven’s Jacob thinks that’s really silly!
We’d love to see some photos of the black dogs you share your life with 🖤

Today was a very special day… Max took his first independent steps with us! Max had ventral slot surgery following an acute onset of intervertebral disc extrusion resulting in spinal compression. Post surgery Max was non-ambulatory tetraparetic, meaning he was unable to walk or stand. He started his rehabilitation whilst he was an inpatient at Pride Veterinary Referrals and joined us last week. The whole team are involved with Max’s sessions as he needs a minimum of 4 people supporting him during his treatment on the water treadmill. Today when we went to pick him up after his session to carry him to his car, he decided he was going to get himself up and walk himself to his Mum and Dad! We missed his first few steps on camera but caught these to share with you. Great job, Max 🌟
Oh Ralph 😍 Ralph is a regular in the water treadmill following a diagnosis of hip dysplasia, last night he had his first session in the pool and was a superstar! It can take even the most enthusiastic swimmers a little while to settle into hydrotherapy, it is a very different environment to a dip in a lake or the sea, so we were amazed at how quickly Ralph thought this was so fun. This is his very first lap round the pool which quickly turned into him not wanting to stop. Well done, Ralph 🌟
Handsome Paddy was struggling with his hindlimbs at home and diagnosed with lumbosacral disease, he joined us in December and alongside pain medication he has made brilliant progress. Paddy is now strong enough to have a little resistance added during his session to encourage extension and flexion of his hindlimbs, here he is handling it like a pro. Great job, Paddy 🌟
