Just to my lovely client friends.

I am still following guidance and only 'welfare' cases which include mat removal, bathing for skin complaints and the like.

There are available appointments at my premises which is my preferred option right now, but I can travel to you if your is in need.

Regular appointments (mobile) will commence from March 29th which is when non essential travel will be allowed again. I've reopened my books and am booking people in from March 8th onwards.

Baxter. A beautiful maine coon in York, who allows #biocooncat to share his residence. He has the run of the house, baskets of toys and his own personal cat run outdoors. Mummy makes sure he goes outside too, but always supervised. We have been 'sparring partners' for a year, and are working up to a full wet groom. I like to think that I am blessed in that his mummy knows her cat so well, both she and I often tend to agree on his needs. Hopefully next time we will get wet and messy, and both he and his mum will see the difference a bath makes to the final finish of his coat. Nice and glossy, any grease a distant memory, and he will remain tangle free for longer. Not many cat only mobile groomers offer a bath - it's hard work you see, but so worth the final result. Baxter has a lion cut, preserving the full mane of his breed because of several reasons, he doesn't like the comb being one! It's taken me a year, but finally this magnificent, beautiful boy has decided I'm ok. But only After grooming has finished. Haha. I'm really proud of him. Love you Bax. Thanks @biocooncat for taking this video and giving me permission to share. He's a joy and I do always look forward to seeing you both. No job is too much trouble. Challenging, elderly, kittens all easily handled. Large cats are a speciality. I have your cats health and well-being at heart and will do my best to keep your feline feeling good.

I work very much on the basis that if the cat is groomed in a calm and methodical way, they will adapt to the routine and benefit in the long run. Stress during grooming is a valid concern, so you do need a groomer who will consider what the animal is feeling during a groom. Being mobile means that I can come and help your cat in the luxury of its own home. Familiar surroundings and people mean there’s a lot less for him/her to worry about, no car journey, no smells of other cats and dogs in the workplace. Just a happier time.
