Please sign: limit the sale and use of fireworks!!!

Fireworks killed our mum, Josephine Smith. Her home was attacked using fireworks. We believe the use of fireworks after sale to the public cannot be policed. We think all displays should be licensed and sales limited to licence holders only.

Hi guys!!

Fireworks suck.

If your dog will allow for you to try and wrap them up like this to help apply pressure to their pressure points, you could use a scarf!

Thunder shirts also exist and you still have time to get one before bonfire night!

If these don't work please offer a safe place like a cupboard, wardrobe, under the quilt, a blanket on the table to create a type of cave.

My Juno is currently wrapped up like a burrito in my hello kitty blanket! She looks adorable and she's doing well but some of the fireworks are too much for her to ignore.

Music is a good idea to help drown out noise or the TV!

Also, this will be hard ... But not making a big deal out of the fireworks can and does help, this will help them know they don't need to react to the big scary noise.

🎇Fireworks - There is a firework display at Blakeney Quay on either Saturday 26th or Sunday 27th October (depending on the weather).
I don't know about you but I'm getting a bit nervous about firework night, which seems to last for weeks these days. I know some doggies find a half-wrap can help with the anxiety and stress that fireworks cause. It can be made from a scarf or a piece of fabric. It should be snug but not tight or constricting. We've had positive feed back on this so l hope it can help you. Woofs Ziggy Bear ❤️

Please be careful!!!

Just a little warning regarding the Xmas treat many stores are now starting to stock for dogs at xmas.

Many of these so called treats end up with the dog "enjoying" some time in a veterinary surgery over Christmas.

The vast majority of these rawhide products and treats come from China.

The chews are made from cattle or horse hides and their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulphide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white "pure" look and remove the rancid smell.
Now comes the pretty festive colours and the glue to form cute shapes.
On testing, these chews have shown traces of arsenic, mercury, chromium and formaldehyde.

If that wasn't bad enough, they regularly cause intestinal blockages, poisoning from chemical residue and choking.
The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog.

Leave them in the shop where they belong or if some well meaning person buys them for your dog put them safely away for later, then dispatch in the bin!
