Benji is home!
**BRAVERY AWARD**
This months bravery award goes to Benji the Whippet! Benji has been very poorly boy this last week and has been hospitalised for a few days needing IV fluids and even feeding tubes. We are so happy that is is now back home with his cat siblings (who obviously missed him!)
Benji, you deserve a good rest and as much TLC as you can get!
These little pests are ear mites, a common parasite that can irritate the life out of your pets! If you look closely, you can see the long hairs on their back legs, these itch like mad them they scurry around. Luckily, with certain flea/mite treatments from your vets, they are easily sorted and your pet can relax again and have a itch free life 🐱
Babies are 10 days old 😍 we have 3 boys and 3 girls all needing homes when they are 8 weeks old 🤗 we always home in pairs unless there is already a young cat in the household.
We have:
Ginger boy: Fred Flintstone
Ginger boy: Barney Rubble
Black boy: BamBam Rubble
Black girl: Pebbles Flintstone
Torti girl: Betty Rubble
Torti girl: Roxy Rubble
Still no kittens for Wilma! But as you can see, they are moving and kicking mommas belly. We will keep you all updated 🖤
If anyone has spare cat litter, kitten milk or towels/blankets, we are running low 🖤🖤🖤 thank you!
Poor Honey came to visit vet Lisa this week from Hope for Hedgehogs Woodside with some nasty injuries. Once Honey was anesthetised, we found yet another issue! She had a bit of wood stuck on the roof of her mouth, obstructing her tongue. Here is a cool video of it being removed 🦔
Lots more puppy love with all of these beauties in for their health checks, starting off their vaccination courses and kennel cough vaccines.
Kennel cough vaccines can be give two weeks after the second vaccine in puppies and at the same time as boosters in adult dogs.
Dog’s don’t need to be going into kennel to catch kennel cough, it is very contagious and can be caught when dogs are playing together or passing in the street after another dog has coughed.
We always try to make their first experience with us a pleasant one, giving lots of treats, attention and cuddles. All were so brave!
We look forward to seeing you all grow 🥰
🌟Bravery Award🌟
**Warning-possible graphic photos**
We believe Stanley deserves this months bravery award!
This handsome little fella was minding his own business in his garden when a passing dog attacked him through the gate. His parents rushed him in to see us, minutes after it happened.
As you can see the dog took a rather large chunk out of his lip and left a puncture wound near his eye.
After a check over we gave him a sedation and sutured his lip back together. He was such a brave boy throughout!
We saw him back for a couple of check overs to see how he was healing and removed those stitches a couple weeks later.
His little lip has healed, although he does have granulation tissue and a scar near his eye. We hope these may fade in time.
We look forward to more cuddles soon. 💙
Introducing Serge 😍
This handsome lad came to see recently when he was feeling a little poorly and had been vomiting.
Serge was a little shy and didn’t really want us to check him over.
With all pets we try to make their visit as stress free as possible and usually a treat or two helps us do that. With Serge this wasn’t possible as he had been vomiting. We gave this brave boy lots of praise and positive reenforcement after his check over. We even managed some hugs and slobbery kisses 🥰
We look forward to seeing you again and hope you feel better soon 💙

Delightful Dumbledore 🐰
This gorgeous boy came to see us recently when his family noticed he wasn’t eating a lot or passing normal faeces.
If rabbit don’t eat normally or continue to pass faeces, it can be life threatening. We kept this little boy with us for the day for observation, fluids and medication.
As Dumbledore showed no signs of improving we did further investigations including xrays and blood samples. After discussing his treatment with his family we proceeded to surgery to see if there was a blockage in his stomach or intestines.
He was such a brave boy throughout his stay! Once fully recovered we syringe fed him a special recovery diet and sent him home with medication and a diet to be syringe fed.
After a couple of days his family noticed he was starting to become the feisty little boy he was before becoming ill. 😄
After a couple of check overs and ensuring he was eating his normal diet, we are very pleased this beautiful boy is back to his mischievous self 💙
