URGENT 🚨 INFORMATION FOR SAFETY

PLEASE SHARE

Due to the Weather warning from the government for high winds can we please remind everyone to check there fences before they let their dogs out into there gardens. Many dogs have escaped due to fallen fencing and if the winds are high your dog can quickly go into fear mode and take flight.

Another thing to be wary of is things being blown into your garden that may be unsafe for your dogs 🐶 so again a quick check outside before you let your dog out.
If you do go for a walk 🚶‍♀️ then we would advise you stay away from wooded areas for risk of fallen trees 🌳

Please stay safe with your pets 🐾

Bumped to a very unpleasant guy with a beard this morning who has taken pictures of me walking my 6 dogs off lead ( nothing illegal, quite chilled) he had 2 spaniels off lead, one black and one white and black. Asked if he would like me to smile he declined. Just preempting a post coming so please if u see one tag me I will be more than happy to reply ###

❤️ Things to bare mind going into 2025 ❤️

Please pay yr invoices within 3 days if possible

Cancellations with in 24 hours will be charged as per contracts

Please provide warm coats and maybe a towel if possibe.

Any periods that u don't need us Please let me know in advance as then I can roster others in as we have a waiting list

All dogs should be wearing collar with a identity tag-this is a legal requirement.

If your dog is not there or I'm unable to get access to your property the walk unfortunately not go ahead but still be charged.

Adhoc clients please let me know on the Saturday before the following week what you require.

Meet and greets are essential before home boarding as is a trial night. If you haven't had one your booking isn't fully confirmed. All new dogs must be neutered.

Basic training for all dogs is a required standard for walks.

We do not take puppy's under 1 year for home boarding unless already agreed.

Minus 4 this morning walks will be shortened for the following breeds as they are sensitive to the cold :

Sh*tzus
Frenchies
Greyhounds
Poodle mixes
Pugs
Great Danes ( don't walk)
Plus any very small breeds and older dogs ###

And any other that are not enjoying the temperatures or walk x


Extra fleece blankets and mats have been added to my van this morning.

Super cold today but my van window is now fixed.....will be warmer tomorrow 🥶🥶🥶

Lunch time can always be a bit tricky with our home boarders but don't worry Aunty Claire to the rescue ###x Time and patience

Different group 100% recall aswell , well done guys x Always get them to sit or at least stay put for a reward lol as u can imagine it's super stimulating for them during a group walk x

When pack walking you NEED to have 100% recall with your dogs. I constantly train them on all my walks for their own and others safety ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Don't always sit if super excited just recall is spot on x

So very proud of how little Max has came out of his shell in only 3 days ....he's such a sweetie x

Our Story

Happy Tails & Trails is a friendly home from home dog walking & boarding service. We are fully DSB checked, registered, licensed and insured with years of experience. We also offer home from home boarding where your four legged friends stay with us for their doggy holiday, while you have a well deserved break. They have the comfort of being in our own home, in the winter enjoying the log fire and fluffy cushions whilst in the summer basking on the decking amongst the flowers.

I am currently a City & Guilds level 2 qualified dog groomer.

Brief Family back ground..........

We are a military family and have been for over 20 years, my husband still currently serving with in bomb disposal. We have two children 16 and 8 years old, and two pooches of our own. I myself have previously worked in sales & procurement for Rolls Royce, marketing & telecommunications with Orange plc, commercial sales with WCF (chandlers oil) and in the childcare industry.
