The Golden Leader is a friendly home from home dog walking service, home boarding and grooming service We are fully CRB checked, registered, licenced and insured with over 8 years experience.

⚠️September slots available⚠️

We have had a few slots come available for Dog Walking 🐕 which is very rare. 🥰

🐶 10 years experience in walking, 7 in homeboarding.
🐶 Licenced with a 5 star rating from Gateshead council 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
🐶 Experienced and trained in canine first aid, behaviour and basic training with knowledge in enrichment and nutrition to name a few.
🐶 The Golden Leader has a policy and procedure booklet available to view on request (at your meet and greet).
🐶 All walks are for 1 full hour (actual walking time) or more, we collect and drop, including water and treats.
🐶 Walks are enriching, and in varied environments. We do not walk in playgrounds, graveyards, housing estates, or pound the pavement out of respect for the general public. ( all walks are risk assessed prior).

Dogs must have basic training skills 🥰

Today we did a wonderful thing and helped out at the rescue centre in kefalonia. What a wonderful experience, lovely kind ppl and amazing dogs, ducks & cats ### they do such an amazing job of caring for all these animals with very little help. They rely on volunteers and donations.

We were tasked with cleaning and refilling their water 💧 bowls.

Obviously we couldn't not help some of the stray dogs in kefalonia ### bought dry and wet food for them , the cats were eating the fish from the fishing boat's just in and we saw some sea turtles too ### going to help out tomorrow at the ark animal rescue.....pics to follow x

Very wise words.... Don't let your children do the following : ⚠️ use your dog as a climbing frame ⚠️ disturb your whilst it's eating or sleeping ⚠️ hug your dog around its neck Never leave your children unsupervised with your dog. You just never 100% know what may trigger or spook your dog, even if they are the most friendliest dog in the world x

Never feed raw hide. Never feed any cooked bones. Keep your pets safe x

I follow this guy on tick tock and his training techniques are very good. 👍👍👍

Our Story

Happy Tails & Trails is a friendly home from home dog walking & boarding service. We are fully DSB checked, registered, licensed and insured with years of experience. We also offer home from home boarding where your four legged friends stay with us for their doggy holiday, while you have a well deserved break. They have the comfort of being in our own home, in the winter enjoying the log fire and fluffy cushions whilst in the summer basking on the decking amongst the flowers.

I am currently a City & Guilds level 2 qualified dog groomer.

Brief Family back ground..........

We are a military family and have been for over 20 years, my husband still currently serving with in bomb disposal. We have two children 16 and 8 years old, and two pooches of our own. I myself have previously worked in sales & procurement for Rolls Royce, marketing & telecommunications with Orange plc, commercial sales with WCF (chandlers oil) and in the childcare industry.
