Here’s a question for you: does your pet talk? And I don’t mean talking with a bark, or a meow, or a squeak… I mean, do they have their own unique voice that answers you back when you talk to them? My dog Monty does. And I know I can’t be the only one with a talking pet. Recently, my friend confessed that her dog, Wilbur, talks to her. There followed a series of hilarious and beautiful voice messages between Monty and Wilbur. And since that day, Wilbur has been inspired to create his own social media profile. Check him out on TikTok! Here’s one of his first videos, where he reviews one of our dog treats for us. Thanks Wilbur ❤️

A happy ending…

UPDATE: BIRD TABLE RETURNED! A huge thank you to family members of the thief, who reached out to us to apologise for his actions and then returned the table to us today. We have been touched by the number of supportive messages we’ve received since it happened. As a small business, trying to make an honest living and serve our local community, this has been a stressful experience. But it has also shown us that there are so many more good, kind, honest people in this town, who care about their community and care about doing the right thing ❤️

ORIGINAL POST: If you happen to receive a lovely bird table from this young man this Christmas, please know that he stole it from our shop. So if he claims to have saved up for your special treat, you’ll know that he is a liar as well as a scumbag thief.

This Christmas, we are supporting a number of animal charities with our ‘Donate a Gift’ appeal. All you have to do is choose a gift from our shop, fill out a gift tag so we know which animal charity you want it to go to, and then leave it in our donation box. We’ve provided a ‘wish list’ for each charity to help you select a suitable gift for your chosen charity. We’ve had some really generous donations so far; THANK YOU to everyone who has supported this appeal.

The sad thing is because Swale Council has enforced that the land to be put back to the original condition it was before the charity was given permission from the very kind land owner to move onto - when the sanctuary is evicted, and as it had been wasteland for 15 years, it will probably end up looking back like the top photo.

All the habitat and biodiversity that we’ve created since being here, will be destroyed. How does this make any sense???!
