KENNEL COUGH IN THE AREA!!!

Please keep an eye on your dogs, I have been made aware of a few dogs now that have varying degrees of symptoms. in the Hay on Wye area (but not necessarily limited to this area)
A dry hacking /retching or and cough, with dogs bringing up mucous, seems to be more obvious in the early evening or morning and developing into more frequent hacking. Kennel cough is highly contagious and if you have any suspicions that your dog may be quieter than normal, and start to display any of these symptoms please keep an eye on them, keep them away from other dogs and where other dogs may frequent in public areas as to help prevent the spread of it.
Make sure they eat little and often as the coughing can cause them yo vomit on a full stomach, keep them hydrated and well rested. Most healthy dogs will recover well, but if you have any doubts please contact your vet who will be able to treat symptoms and advise further.
