💚 NURSE APPRECIATION POST 💚 We are so incredibly lucky and fortunate that we could celebrate the month of May with our incredible nursing team! May is Veterinary Nursing Awareness Month where we can thank our unbelievable nurses, animal care assistants and nurses in training for all of their incredible work. The nurses are trained in anaesthetic care, intensive care, trainers and teachers, infection control, surgical assistants, lab technicians, administrators, friends, cuddle buddies and SO MUCH MORE! We cannot thank Anita, Nicola and Kodi enough; not to mention our ACAs/ trainee nurses Amy, Demi, Emily and Jenni who are constantly working so hard behind the scenes!! Thank you lovely ladies 💚

Poor Ivy 🥺 this little one was in deep regret after eating a grape. She came in to see us recently as a matter of urgency and was given an injection to help her be sick.
She is now on the mend & hopefully no longer a fan of snacking on any grapes 💚💚

🟢 HARNESS SUPPORT 🟢
Harnesses can be a brilliant way of keeping dogs safe from injury to the neck and trachea, provide comfort for your dog when on walks or travelling and a tool for training too. These are great for stopping your dog from slipping out of a collar.
However, incorrect placement of a harness or the wrong style of harness can be damaging to your dog’s joints and bones.
Certain styles of harnesses can press against shoulders and cause significant long term damage on your dogs, which is painful and can lead to multiple surgeries. Some can even enable your dog to slip out of them.
When choosing a harness please opt for a Y shapes harness as this will provide the best support around the neck, shoulders and joints; just like the one our doggy-model Hank! 🐾
