There is a good reason why we use Grass Fed Lamb here at McDug.

We’re approaching that time again…

Fireworks night is right around the corner, and it feels like the loud bangs start earlier every year so this
is the time of year when many of our dogs could use a little bit of extra support.

If you have a dog who gets a little anxious, our Tasty Calming Treats are a great complementary option to help them through their troubles. Camomile and lavender have been added to calm and soothe your pet, while settling symptoms of an upset stomach.

Does your canine pal eat their greens?

Many people think that dugs should only eat a meat-based diet. And while it's true that meat-based protein should make up the majority of what you feed your dug, it's also really important that they get their fill of healthy fruit and vegetables.

Not only do fruit & veggies contain lots of vitamins such as vitamin C, A, E and K but they also contain lots of water, which is great to help dugs stay hydrated.

Raw fruit & veg is also a great way to add fibre into your dug's diet, helping their digestive system to stay healthy.

Consider feeding your dug these fruit and veg favourites for some amazing health benefits:

🍏 Apples are a great source of vitamins A and C - just remove any seeds and the core.

🍌Bananas are packed with vitamins and can be a great treat - just don't give too much as they have a high sugar content.

🥒Cucumber is a great snack for dugs on a diet to reduce their weight. This tasty treat contains very few carbs, fats or oils but is packed with nutrients.

Are you game on!

The nights are getting darker, the temperature is dropping which can only mean one thing: autumn is here!

And with autumn comes a whole range of tasty, seasonal flavours when many of us enjoy richer gamier meats such as rabbit and venison.

Did you know that rabbit is an excellent source of lean protein for dogs that's also highly digestible. Low in fat, we've created a recipe that's packed full of essential minerals such as zinc and iron, to support good health in your dug.
