Recently graduating from the University of Glasgow with a degree in Veterinary Bioscience in 2014, I found myself at a crossroads in my future. Pursue a career in animal science and welfare, potentially being stuck in a laboratory for 10 hours a day or pursue a passion, a hobby - caring for animals. Thankfully I choose the later and after a year working hands on with animals and travelling, I star

ted to develop a local pet services business named Tails and Scales. I have 8 years experience in walking and caring for dogs owning numerous breeds such as Springer spaniels, Lhasa apsos and Lakeland terriers. For the last 5 years I have worked with a large variety of reptiles, birds and rodents in previous employment and have an extensive knowledge of small animal care. I can't imagine any other line of work more suited and to coin the famous phrase...
