We are a long established reference laboratory for feline coronavirus testing and feline infectious peritonitis diagnostics. In addition to performing diagnostics we undertake research aimed at improving testing. Luca Fund for FIP Research supports FCoV and FIP research at Glasgow University, see below for details of a current fundraising challenge. 🐱

Instantly QUINTUPLE Your Donation – THIS WEEK ONLY!

As we get ready to celebrate the LUCA FUND FOR FIP RESEARCH’s 5th anniversary, EndFIP® has the pleasure of launching the Five Cats – Five Days Challenge fundraising campaign. ALL donations received by the Luca Fund for FIP Research from today up to midnight on Friday 6 October will be matched $5 per every $1 donated up to $10,000. This means your gift will quintuple with every dollar donated, thanks to some very gracious and charitable top donors.

We need your generosity! We have ONLY 5 days to unlock the match donation of $10,000. We need your help! Every gift matters so much right now. PLEASE DONATE👉 www.endfip.com/donate/

Feline Infectious Peritonitis is a global problem. We know that you are reading this post because you care about cats. There is almost no funding to support studies for companion animal health, especially when it comes to our beloved cats. These are exciting and dynamic times in the FIP research field, and support from donors is more vital than ever. We need your help because every cat deserves to have a long and healthy life.

STRETCH YOUR DONATION by contributing during the Five Cats – Five Days Challenge. Please, make an urgent gift of any amount right now, and take advantage of this amazing opportunity to QUINTUPLE YOUR DONATION and make a HUGE impact.

DONATE NOW 👉 www.endfip.com/donate/

This week we are also honoring the memories of KINAKO, LUNA, MATRIX, SNUGZ, and LUCA. These five beautiful cats were taken from us way too soon and they represent the countless faces of FIP. We can’t bring back those we’ve lost, but together we can use every loss to FIP as a wake-up call, a sign that something must be done! And…

We can all agree that the miracle of transformation happens when the time, talent, focus, and necessary resources come together with the help and demonstrated support of dedicated donors like all of you. Help us accomplish our goals. Your donation is both needed and appreciated. TOGETHER, WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

In gratitude,

THE EDUCATIONAL MEMORIAL PROGRAMME

The UofG School of Biodiversity, One Health & Veterinary Medicine (SBOHVM) is dedicated to producing highly skilled, experienced and compassionate veterinary surgeons and nurses. Donating your pet’s body to the Glasgow EMP supports the training of future vets and helps further the knowledge of diseases affecting our animal friends. In human medicine, people donate their bodies to science after their death. This altruistic and invaluable act supports the training of healthcare professionals and study of human disease. Similarly pet body donations to veterinary schools are highly valued; their contribution to animal healthcare is infinite and can be used for
• Anatomical examination – teaching veterinary students about the structure and function of animal bodies
• Pathology training – tuition on the mechanisms behind diseases and the changes caused to the body
• Advancing animal healthcare – information gathered during postmortem examinations may be included in approved
research studies by clinicians at the SBOHVM which aim to improve our knowledge of disease affecting our pets.

The staff and students of the SBOHVM recognise and understand that each donation is a unique and irreplaceable gift; every animal is treated with dignity and respect.
Please take time to consider donating to the Glasgow EMP. It is an immensely worthwhile programme, investing in and supporting the veterinary surgeons of the future. Talk to your veterinary surgeon about this good cause.
