This little snuggle buddy came for his very first puppy groom tonight! A first appointment is usually just a brief visit to get used to all the new sounds, smells and tools in the groom room BUT Bear was suuuch a good boy that he managed a bath and trim! 🏆
He’s been getting daily pampers at home so is already used to a comb at only 4 months old! 🤩 Welcome to the Cù Bijou fluffy family, Bear! 😍

☀️ That big yellow ball in the sky is a welcome appearance for lots of us however, PLEASE be mindful of your four-legged fluffies over the next few days.

I rescheduled all of Monday and Tuesday’s appointments to this morning so dogs weren’t having to endure roasting hot temperatures and warm blaster dryers.

We always hear horror stories of dogs being left in cars but it can be just as dangerous to have them basking in the sun in the garden or out for walks during the day when it’s 20+°.

Keep your pooches cool and well hydrated; walk them early in the morning and/or later in the evening and if the pavement is too hot for your bare feet, it’s definitely too hot for dogs’ paws! 🐾 🔥

At only 5 months, this cutie little beauty has already been introduced to all things grooming so she gets used to all the goings on in a groom room. 🪄

👎🏻 Everyone’s bearing the brunt of cruddy price hikes. 😫

Just like everybody else, as a small business I’m up against increased costs for grooming supplies, postage/shipping, utilities and equipment maintenance. 🥱

So regrettably, after 3+ years of absorbing these rising costs to avoid charging clients more, I’m having to up my prices. Feel free to confirm new price when booking in.

I can’t thank you all enough for your continued loyalty, support and generosity over the past year during the rollercoaster of Covid restrictions, my pregnancy and more recently, since having Blake. 🦠🤰🏼👶🏻

Your kindness - as always - is massively appreciated; without all of you there would be no Cù Bijou. 🙏🏻

Back to business as usual for 2022! In the meantime, stay safe, keep well and give those precious pooches extra hugs from me!

🔊Cù Bijou’s newest recruit has arrived, safe and well! 👶🏻

Although baby Blake’s not quite ready for donning the apron or scissor handling quite yet, the doggy diary is open again for evening appointments from week beginning Monday 15th November. 📝

⏸ Still having to press “paws” on working with new dogs unfortunately but if any clients already on the books need a slot then please get in touch! 📲

⚠️ I would also advise getting your December grooms booked in now too if you’re likely to want your canines looking cute for Christmas! ⚠️

Congratulations to who was the lucky winner of the recent competition to receive a complimentary grooming pamper !

This little treasure enjoyed the full works, lapping up a blueberry facial, foamy massage bath and coat conditioning treatment before strutting out with his bow tie, bandana, doggy cologne and bag of treats! 🐕 🐾 🛁

No heatwave and no sun at all in fact for me in Stornoway this week 😢 but for all of you enjoying 28°+ bliss elsewhere in the country, be mindful of your furry friends who cannot regulate their body temperatures like we can.

Keep dog walks between sunset & sunrise and find a cool shady spot for your pups to relax indoors! 🥵
