Have you ever heard the sound of a beating heart? ❤️ 🐍
Willow was in having laser treatment to help with pain. She was very well behaved at the vets!
Doesn’t she look cool with her safety googles on?
Little Loaf the Axolotl was in having an ultrasound scan.
We love seeing all exotic pets!
A big special day for this wee girl, gone to her new family home. No more tough times living as a stray. One of our clients has taken her home 😍
Would be really nice if we could get this wee girl back to her owners. She is a very affectionate wee cat.
This wee girl behaved impeccably well for her vet check! 🐾
It’s Day 1 of Guinea Pig Awareness Week!
Today is all about behaviour.
Guinea Pigs are very vocal creatures, here’s a few common sounds they make:
- ‘Wheek-wheek’ is usually made when anticipating something tasty, like their brekkie!
- Purring- yes, guinea pigs can purr! This can be negative or positive so watch their body language too.
- Chutting- often made when exploring their surroundings.
- Chattering- is made by chattering their teeth together. This means they are worried or anxious about something.
When guinea pigs are super happy, they ‘popcorn’! They look just like a piece of popcorn popping, jumping and twisting about in the air.
As guinea pigs are social animals and should live in pairs or groups, you will often see some dominance behaviours. A common one is called ‘rumble strutting’, you’ll notice your piggie purring and slowly swaying from side to side.

One of my clients sent me this video of her cat exercising at home.
What a great way to get INDOOR cats to do a wee bit more exercise, than lying around on the sofa!
Not all cats have the luxury of a big garden to go out and explore in.
Get your cats an exercise treadmill and get them into keeping fit!💪 😅
Called out to examine this big chap.
