Seems such a long time since I’ve ridden…. Work, broken foot and flu for the past 5 days have set me back….
Decided today to take Queenie for a walk and hop on and see how I coped….
Foot ached after a mile, hopped on and screamed when I tried putting my foot in the stirrup so rode without stirrups (I do this regularly anyway so no issue) and rode back….
Great to be back on board and well worth the discomfort ….. 💜
Straight from A&E to work, x ray, painkillers, boot, bag, job done 😂 . Broken foot and sprained ankle but 🤷♀️ 😂

Well what a week….
Crackerjack…. As well as me continuing to back him to ride he’s now officially my running partner…. I absolutely HATE running but it’s something I started again, and who better a partner than Crackerjack 🤷♀️ we’ve racked up 23km in 2 runs and I’ve managed the same solo…. We race, we trot, we jog, we stop, but we’re enjoying it and getting fitter 👌
Lunar…. Decided 2 weeks ago to reback her to ride as she was getting bored with harness work only…. She’s now happily hacking out in the dark (mostly ) by torchlight and whereas I started her in blinkers as a continuation of her harness training, now she’s back in her normal bridle 😊 happ, bouncy and confident…. Perfect 👌
Queenie, still not happy about riding away from the yard alone but happy to walk miles inhand and ride back hoof perfect…. It’s the little wins and safety as I’m doing this alone with no one on the ground or routing out with me 🥰
This week has proved to me that once I’m focused I can achieve what I aim for and that actually, even though I’m fitting all this around my other horses and full time employment I can manage…. And now I can see a bright future for my babies 💜

My handsome Crackerjack 💜 clocks went back but I was up normal time 🤦♀️ bored at home so went to the yard and took my baby for a walk…. For an hour and a half 👌
Had an ambulance drive past us at speed, all lights flashing and he stood stock still and didn’t bat an eyelid…. Didn’t even mind all the Halloween decorations, cobwebs and car sized spiders 🕷️ 😳

Got back to the field and decided to hop on board, with no treats or feed to use as bribery…. We went backwards more than forward but he was super 💜
