Comb To Collar Dog Grooming, is temporarily closed due to unforeseen circumstances, this is starting as of TODAY 7.10.2021.

If you are booked in for this week and the following weeks please discard your appointment.
If you would like go to JJs Dog Grooming Services Jane is happy to help and take on dogs. This is the salon comb to collar is based at so means not travelling to a different location.

I am so very sorry for any inconvenience and I am heartbroken I won’t see any of my comb to collar members for a while.
Please respect this decision, I know it is annoying for dog owners however this isn’t something I’m doing lightly.

Once again, thank you all to my lovely clients who have supported comb to collar the last 6 months….

I will hopefully see you all very soon.

To all those clients who have stuck with me even though I’ve had to cancel their apps this week!
I’m currently bed bound with the flu, I’ve done a covid test and it’s come back negative. I’m doing another one again tomorrow….

I’ve messaged all clients that are booked in this week to rearrange as I just can’t promise I’ll be better by then and I don’t want to spread it to clients and co workers.

The difference in her coat since she’s been coming to Comb To Collar is amazing! 😍🥰👏🏻

Daisy comes in every 3 weeks for a bath and brush, and then every 6 weeks for her full groom, you can tell it’s paying off by the change in her coat 😍👏🏻

Little Ronnie came in for his first groom with comb to collar!
He was matted quite badly resulting in his coat being rather short.

Dog grooming is a grey area, you don’t legally need to be qualified to groom dogs/pets however this is slowly changing…

So as it stands “anyone” can take your money and groom your dog but be sure to know what you are looking for when searching for a dog groomer.
If they are qualified what qualifications do they hold?
There’s many online dog grooming courses that are £30-£100 giving the individual a certificate stating they are capable of grooming your beloved pets! Dog grooming is a practical vocation as well as theory but most of our learning as dog groomers is on the job!

Your dog groomer should have their certificate framed and put up at their place of work, along side with their insurance policy and first aid!

As dog groomers training is on going and it never stops. You can be the best of the best and still learn something new as the industry changes all the time…

So I can say as a newly qualified dog groomer, that my learning and personal development will be forever ongoing and how fantastic is that 👏🏻😍🐶

Get to know your groomer, ask questions, ask to see qualifications and be sure to feel comfortable leaving your animals in their care 💜💜

I’m happy to announce I have passed my ICMG dog grooming certification UK today, giving me the title of a certified professional dog groomer 👏🏻🐶✂️

Here are just some of the fab dogs I have groomed over the 3/4 months I’ve been open. Thank you all for your support 💜
