Hi everyone, unfortunately our little one gave us another scare yesterday and I had to be admitted to hospital. Thankfully we are both ok but I've had to make the decision to close due to the doctors advising I am doing too much! I feel fine in myself but to cut a long story short my placenta could not only cause a risk to our baby but also myself.
Those of you who have paid deposits please either send me over your bank details or PayPal if you have it and I'll get a refund sent to you ASAP.

I am trying to be prepared for my maternity leave so in order to help you all here are some tips! 🪥🪥🪥

Remember to use the Orozyme gel every day, I still have some in stock so if you need any let me know (£12 per tube)

If you would like someone else to continue your dogs maintenance sessions please let me know and I can give you your dogs toothbrush head or if you would just like it back tell me. It'll save you having to pay out for a new one... I will not be offended if you do continue with someone else so please don't be put off asking me anything

If finding someone else to carry out maintenance sessions please ask what equipment they use - metal tools or descalers like in the photo are a BIG NO!

If you have any concerns about your dogs oral health please don't wait for me to come back from maternity, get them seen by a vet

I will still be available to message if you need any help or advice.

1st session for Coco this evening, we worked slowly as she wasn't very keen but I managed to remove a nice piece of tartar. As she wasn't so keen I just focused mainly on this canine today, hopefully next time we can get some more done 🙂

So just to make everyone aware, yes we are expecting a new arrival🤰🏻
Unfortunately I wasn't very well at the beginning of my pregnancy and we had a scare the other evening which meant a trip to the hospital, thankfully everything is ok ❤️

I've had a few messages recently asking similar sorts of questions. Most of these are listed in the pinned post at the top of my page, however here is a reminder...

I cover Hadfield, Glossop & surrounding areas. I am mobile and come to your home (I have some limited appointments available at Mountview Farm Kennels and Cattery - Higher Chisworth). All my home appointments are in the evenings between 7&8pm.

My prices are as follows (may vary depending on location)
Consultation £10
Consultation + 1st session £30 (to include the cost of the dogs own toothbrush head)
Subsequent sessions £15

How long the sessions last will depend on how your dog takes to the toothbrush but usually around 20-30 minutes - this doesn't include set up time etc. How many sessions your dog will need will depend on how the teeth are, how well the dog tolerates the sessions and what maintenance you do at home. Prices are the same for small & large breeds.

Brilliant 1st sessions for the lovely Border Terriers - Eira & Bryn this evening. Eira will need just one more session to finish off then maintenance cleans. As you can see Bryn's teeth have more that needs removing and it is thicker so he will need a few more sessions but it is breaking down nicely 🙂
As a bonus I got lots of cuddles too, I think Eira would have happily come home with me 😍

Session for the lovely Archie this evening, focusing mainly on his top canines and incisors. His left side was a little more stubborn, hard to see from the light on the photos but we did get some off there too. He started to get a little fed up so we left it at that for today. Good boy Archie 🌟

Thought I would put faces to the teeth...

This is photo is a few years old now but it's one of my favourites, it really captures their personalities!
Buster's started to go very grey now, especially on his eye patch. He was a rescue dog but was microchipped so according to that he will turn 7 in July. We got Bailey when he was almost 9 weeks old & he will be 5 in April 💙💙

Our own boys turn to have their teeth cleaned today.... I can't remember when I actually last did them which is terrible I know! But with so much going on recently and not being very well I just hadn't got round to it.

For those of you who don't know Bailey is a Border Terrier and Buster is an American Bulldog. Buster is much easier to do than Bailey, I just put a towel down and Buster just lays down the whole time. With him having a much bigger mouth the teeth are also a lot easier to get to 🪥🪥🪥

Hi everyone, as you know we haven't had much luck recently with the car situation and things aren't getting much better! We managed to pick our new car up the other evening but we aren't happy with the job that was completed so we need to take it back (for the 3rd time!)

We will have a courtesy car but have no idea what we are going to be given, so with the recent weather I may have to rearrange appointments if it's something that doesn't cope very well with snow/ice.
Please continue to bear with me and fingers crossed normal service will be able to resume soon! 🤞🏻

The cost of the 1st session is to cover the cost of the dogs own toothbrush head.

The picture below was after 1 session, however all dogs are different. Some have more build up than others and some dogs need a little time to build up trust, depending on how the dog reacts sessions tend to be around 20-30 minutes. It's clear to tell when the dog has had enough and I will not push them out their comfort zone ❤️

Just a little reminder of my price list. I know other salon based people do not charge for consultations but unfortunately I have to, this is to cover the cost of fuel and my time. I really do not mind spending time giving clients educational information but sometimes a consultation can take me up to 2 hours when you include my travel time & sorting my equipment etc.

Long post alert but it's worth thinking about...

I've have done so many consultations where I have recommended that the dogs owner seeks the vets advice before I can proceed with my service.
The pictures below are from Google and this is just to give an idea of dogs that I would turn away - I have seen all this and more and I will not touch the dog until either the dog has undergone a dental or the vet gives me written consent to proceed.

Once again I am seeing adverts claiming "Look at this after just one session and it's saved the dog from having to be put under while a dental is done!" - this is not the case, the teeth may look clean but we cannot see what is going on below that gum line etc. The 1st picture is probably one of the best examples, the teeth may look fairly clean but the dogs gum looks very inflamed and possibly some gum receding going on too. Trying to clean this dogs teeth would be painful and could cause more harm than good.
Yes dentals at the vet are a lot of money but for the health of your dog please take my advice.

Please note that I am not a vet and cannot diagnose problems but I will help advise you the best I can.
