At Victoria Veterinary Centre our aim is to provide the highest standard of care for all pets and their owners. It is important to everyone that our clients trust the work done here and are comfortable with the 'bedside manner' and the services offered. **Star pet of the month**
We are pleased to announce that the star pet for February 2025 is Louie Smith 🎉🎊
On 31st January, poor Louie was attacked by another dog, which caused wounds across his back and side. These wounds were quite extensive and required a lot of debriding and a drain putting in place.
Our vet Beth said he was such a brave boy and is doing really well (honestly a miracle)
He is a gorgeous boy and always happy to see us in practice. Well done Louie 🏅

Tabby Stieger 🎊
On 22nd Dec 2024, Tabby found her leg stuck in the washing machine door 😱 After xrays and many discussions, it was decided that the best thing for Tabby was to amputate the leg. This action was done quickly by our team and meant that Tabby could recover at home with her family, just in time for Christmas.
Her humans told us that she is recovering well and getting her character back.
Nursa Helena said that she was so brave, considering what had happened. So friendly, despite being in pain.
Well deserved award Tabby. We hope you're able to get out and about soon 🥰🏅

At Victoria vets we pride ourselves on our wonderful team. We are looking for a full time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our fabulous nursing team of 12 RVNs, 1 SVN and 1 ANA.

We are a small animal practice and have sites in Glossop and Chapel-en-le-Frith. The Glossop practice is equipped with 1 operating theatre, digital X-ray, digital dental X-ray, endoscopy, ultrasound, in house laboratory machines, in house laser therapy machine and separate dog, cat and isolation wards. The Chapel practice is equipped with 1 operating theatre, digital x-ray, ultrasound, in house laboratory machines and a separate dog and cat ward.

We aim to provide the very best in animal care and the ideal candidate will have experience working in a variety of areas of veterinary practice.

Full time hours would be preferable but part time hours will be considered. Competitive salary negotiable depending on experience.
The role includes 5 weeks holiday per year and CPD is funded and encouraged.

**Star Pet Of The Month**
We are pleased to announce that our star pet for December is Bobby Bullen 🎉🏆🏅
Bobby came to see us with a sore right eye. It was diagnosed as an ulcer. Over the next few days, the ulcer got deeper and started to rupture. Therefore, it was decided that it would be safer to remove the eye completely.
Bobby is only 4 months old and was such a brave puppy. He is always so happy and excited to come into the practice and gets a lot of fuss.
Head Nurse Charlotte said, "Bobby was the bravest little pup! He was so sensible for his young age and looks even cuter with one eye"
Well done Bobby, we love you 🎊

This is Teddy who has been coming for free socialisation visits. Teddy first came to us as he was very fearful of the practice and wouldnt even accept a treat from the receptionists at the front desk. He has been building his confidence week by week and is now demanding treats from the nurses. What a clever little guy 😍🐾🎖
