Thelma finally wasn't invisible anymore
Some may know Thelma from over the years, so I have put a little story together below of her, she has grown so much over time, and learnt so much, all dogs if given the chance can grow and know this does happen. Thelma did it, and won the hearts of an amazing couple
Now in Foster with a hope of adoption or shall we say her furever family so almost there
This gorgeous girl has been looking for a home for 4 years she was found in a yard in Greece at the age of 1 with her sister Louise, then in kennels for two years. She was a very scared and terrified girl, and really feared men, noise, new things and anything that moved. Her sister Louise was the domineering, protector and confident one who was there for her but this wasnt enough to build her up, she desperately needed to be in a home, so after two years in Kennels, Dee from the Amicii Team fostered her, and two years later still no interest, or was it?
Over the 2 years I have worked with Thelma, on helping her learn the world isn't scary, gave her the safe space "Thelma's Bedroom" which she claimed, she took time to become apart of family, over a year the changes where showing, she became a little sassy, started to jump on the sofa and freeze but time allowed her to realise she was loved, and safe and could have the good things also. Getting to rub her belly was huge, but took months but all I can say it was worth the moment in wait. Thelma has a chance now she's with friends who has Big Teddy she knows and love and the couple are amazing, Thelma is settling in, but will be some moments of uncertainty, but let's hope this is where she shines and grows and gets that Magic Adoption we all been wishing
