The afternoon session with Worcester Search & Scent Dogs Ltd and Puppy School with Harry's Hounds was all about learning and CPD for some Puppy School tutors and their own dogs. Teams Liliwen, Manny, Milo and Newt, discussed some scent theory and then completed some mantrailing on different surfaces and trailed both inside and outside the venue… great work!

This mornings mantrailing session with Worcester Search & Scent Dogs Ltd and Puppy School with Harry's Hounds was a “Cops and Robbers” session…All “robbers” ran off at each trail and the “cops” only had stones that the robbers had touched to find them with … the cops which were teams Dotty, Luna, Oakley and Tilly managed to find the right culprit each time and even when they tried to escape in a getaway vehicle their scent was found from a car de-camp! Well done guys 🐕🐾

The afternoon Pre-Entry trial with Worcester Search & Scent Dogs Ltd at Malvern College Enterprises saw the teams battle with the Selection test and only 50% achieved this badge. Every team achieved their interior and exterior search badge although a couple of the teams only just achieved it within the time allocated.
Congratulations to team Basil a winners medal at their first Pre-Entry Trial and brilliant work from Team Bo-Katan who achieved a Reserve medal and a Synergy badge which means they have won out of pre-entry so Entry trials await! Congratulations!

So today’s Worcester Search & Scent Dogs Ltd NNA trials were held at the wonderful Malvern College Enterprises.. and the morning started with the Foundation teams.. We started with the interior search inside the Pavillion , with all teams getting their badge and then the exterior search proved to be a little bit harder for the teams, as they had to task their dogs into the corners and the inset doors but everyone achieved their badge. It was the selection proved difficult! Not one team achieved that badge…
Congratulations to Sally Hammond and Milo for their first win at their first foundation trial!
Reserve went to Jen Smith and Etta .. brilliant work!

It’s week 1 of the new Introduction to Scent with Worcester Search & Scent Dogs Ltd at our new venue. Teams Flossi, Guus, Kiwi and Nellie really showed their handlers what they can do! As well as doing some theory all teams excelled in the free searches and we looked at the dogs body language and the difference between a large and small search areas …. It was all about building confidence with searching in the environment.

Well done guys you have your homework and I can’t wait until next week 😊

We must stop Guus from searching Pam for treats … Guus, Pam is not part of the search area!!

The final teams of our Halloween weekend with Worcester Search & Scent Dogs Ltd loved the problem solving trails of Malvern College Enterprises and Teams Alfie, Finn, Flossi, Lila, and Orlagh, concentrated on their door indications through a building and enjoyed the last long trail.. ( and the fancy dress…)

The final day of our spook-tastic Halloween weekend with Worcester Search & Scent Dogs Ltd at the fabulous Malvern College Enterprises. Teams Dante, Keeper, Roosta, Venus and Zack loved the problem solving trails I set them and the fact that we could also trail on different surfaces including inside spaces! The teams excelled at the challenge all helped by the fancy dress and cake! Great work all!

The afternoon teams of Bryn, Dylan, Magni and Milo loved the sunshine and the problem solving trails set by the crazy nun at Worcester Search & Scent Dogs Ltd.
The Witch, Little Red Riding Hood, SteamPunk extraordinaire and Queen of the Vampires and her dog, also completed some practice on walking trail-layers, line-ups and all dogs did really well. Great fun was had by all aided but a considerable amount of sugar in the form of cupcakes and chocolates!

What a fantastic start to Worcester Search & Scent Dogs Ltd Halloween weekend spectacular! Today’s morning teams of Bailey, Neve, Roosta and Tilly had a great time from Bat girl and her dog to Steam punk to the odd scary nun! Lots of problem solving trails which made the dogs think about how to get to their trail-layers and then ensure that they indicate … great work guys!

Nikki and I went to Bedfordshire yesterday to complete some CPD for judges and TO’s for the NNA. It was a great day with both theory, and practical sessions so look out for a more efficient (if possible) Judge and TO (Trials Officer) at the next lot of NNA trials … 😀

Another 2:1 scent session with Worcester Search & Scent Dogs Ltd this evening where Teams Griff and Olive smashed their first level 1 Nosework Games skill assessment -Go to Source… great work guys!
We then looked at an interior search and it included a first attempt at high hides and the dogs did us proud! We went through a bit of training and they excelled at reaching for the source 😀🐾🐕🐕‍🦺 Brilliant 🤩

The afternoon teams at the Worcester Search & Scent Dogs Ltd and Puppy School with Harry's Hounds Halloween Special had more blustery weather to contend with but team Arlo, Harriet, Noodles and Stanley smashed it .. clock starts and novel scent items including taking scent from a mug, proved not to be a problem even with the multiple junctions the venue had … great work guys!

The morning teams of Dotty, Luna and Tilly had a great morning trailing with Worcester Search & Scent Dogs Ltd. and Puppy School with Harry's Hounds using novel scent articles, door handle starts and the first attempt at some decoy work! The fancy dress didn’t bother any of them and they all did brilliantly at our school venue .. fantastic work guys!

Worcester Search & Scent Dogs Ltd held a Nosework Games Skilks Assessment session at tonight’s scent training and it’ was very successful! Teams Ava, Bo-Katan, Magni and Orlagh enjoyed the challenge of Level 1 “Go To Source” and they all passed! Despite the rosettes not yet delivered (they are on order) all teams loved the certificates and filled in their skills log. Seven more games to go! Great fun!

A 2:1 session this evening with Worcester Search & Scent Dogs Ltd.. we started with an ORT session for team Basil who passed their Pre-Entry ORT! Great work!

Team Olive joined in the fun and both teams practiced their Selection and completed an exterior search. We ended the night with an interior search which both teams smashed!

Super Saturday Mantrailing with Worcester Search & Scent Dogs Ltd at our private venue to work on “Vehicle Day!” The morning teams of Blaney, Kiwi, Olive and Skylar worked on all things cars… trailing to a car for each dog to practice their door indications , then a gauze wipe from a steering wheel and finally a car decamp!! Great work all!
