I am a mum to 3 beautiful children, and 5 if your including my hubby and beautiful Harlequin Great Dane- Alfie. Since i can remember i have always wanted to work with animals. After i attended sixth form i went to Hartpury College for 2 years; I completed my first diploma in animal care and achieved a merit level and continued a course in the science and practice of animal care which lead to me ac
hieving a distinction level also. During my time at Hartpury i did work experience and voluntary work in Kennels and Catteries, Veterinary practices, Horse stables and a Horse hospital. I throughly enjoyed my time at college and my time with work experience. In my teen years, I grew up with labradors, we had several generations. We were into dog showing which i loved and eventually got to crufts with my gorgeous yellow lab- Maisie. My last work experience i did was with a lovely lady called Maureen in Barnwood, Where my passion and love for my job really began.. I did voluntary work after work experience, working part time, starting to bath and dry. I went and did my training in Salisbury with another lovely lady named Sue. This being where my confidence really grew and gained skills that i still use to this day. With my training completed, I stayed on longer at Sue's salon- She had several poodles- All of which was different sizes. After i finished my time with Sue, I went back to Gloucester where i continued to work part time with Maureen in Barnwood. I got another job in Cheltenham at another very busy grooming parlour doing mornings- Bathing and drying. When i started my business in 1998, i was able to rent a table, whilst gaining customers, i started to do mobile too. I went to Princess trust to get a loan and a grant for my building and equipment. I based my first parlour in Longlevens. My business blossomed over the years, gaining many customers from all over Gloucestershire. Until 2005, My mum (Gill) joined the business, In the same year i fell pregnant with my first child- Bethany. My mum completed basic training, never looked back and continues to love her job to this day. Now, skipping to 2021; We opened a second sister parlour in Hucclecote with the original parlour in Longlevens still open and running! I continue to have my passion for my job and my love for animals! And my business continues to grow...
