A lovely start to 2025🫶🏼✨️

I would like to introduce you all to Buddy.

He is a German Shepherd X Husky. He is lead reactive but he's a big softie at heart❤️

I have a privilege of seeing Buddy a few times a week, doing house visits and walks whilst his owners are at work.

I'm exited for us to build up a positive and trustworthy bond and hopefully become the best of friends🥰

Kenai the rescue dog has been making sure everything is in order for our Festive Fayre tomorrow (Thursday 28th November) and he has given Santa's Grotto his lick of approval.

Join us from 4:30 to 7pm for an evening full of festive cheer. We have festive entertainment, a Christmas Market, BBQ, Mulled Wine and Cider, cake stall, and our Charity Shop will be open with games for our younger visitors.

Make sure you bring your dog to meet Santa Paws and maybe pop a treat in one of our resident dog's Christmas Stockings.

No Festive Fayre would be complete without the opportunity to meet Santa in his Grotto and we look forward to welcoming children to write a letter to Santa, enjoy a hot chocolate, and meet the man himself when they will receive a gift to take home! Please note that this year we are trialling a booking system to combat queuing. Registration opens at 4:30 and you will be able to book a time to return to the Grotto. Santa experience is £5 per child.

It's been a whole year since I decided to go self employed and tried to start growing my own dream business.

It's been filled with so many amazing moments and I feel so lucky to call this my job!

Our annual Shoebox Appeal is a great way for families, businesses and schools to have some fun helping Gloucestershire’s homeless pets this Christmas!

We invite our generous community to fill shoeboxes with much-needed items such as food, toys, bedding, and treats for the dogs, cats, and small animals at the Shelter.

Simply package up your gifts and bring them along to go under the tree in Reception by Wednesday 18th December.

Our teams have listed a few of their most needed items in the image but we are grateful for any donations.

I have the absolute pleasure of seeing Rubi on a weekly basis, helping her to improve with training and building up a bond to eventually be able to go on walks together🐾

It’s been a crazy busy week but I have loved every minute of it🫶🏼

I have had the absolute pleasure of looking after Sprocket, Sprout and Oscar whilst their family have been away. We’ve been on lots of different adventures and had the best night time snuggles.
I will definitely miss seeing this lovely trio❤️

🐶What to look out for when choosing a dog walker🐶

Choosing someone to walk your dog is never an easy decision, because you want to make sure your animals are in safe hands so both you and your pets feel comfortable and happy.

Here are some top tips for things to look for when choosing someone to care for your animals! 🐾

⭐️ Insurance! One of the most important things, always make sure your chosen dog Walker is fully insured!
⭐️ Training, whether this is through online courses or 1-2-1 courses, it’s always great to make sure you are picking someone who is well trained!
⭐️ Experience, although everyone has to start somewhere, it’s always reassuring to know that you have chosen someone who is experienced handling dogs, has experience in lots of different scenarios, and has lots of knowledge on how to run a dog walking business!
⭐️ A safe vehicle! Always double check that your animals are being transported in a safe and secure way, and also always make sure this vehicle is insured to transport animals to!
⭐️ A safe and secure place to store your keys. If you are giving someone access to your house with keys, always ensure they have somewhere safe and secure to put these so you know they won’t be going missing!
⭐️ Appropriate forms. It’s extremely important that you met your chosen dog walker prior to agreeing to any work, and with this comes all the forms! These can be anything from consent forms, to emergency contact forms. Never just pass over your dog without going through all the important things!!
