✨Important announcement✨

Maternity Leave Notice

As most of you know, we’re expecting to welcome a little one by November 25th 2024☺️

I wanted to inform you all that as of Monday, November 4th, 2024, I will be stopping all services as my family and I prepare for an exciting new arrival.

During my leave I will not be taking on new clients. I will help all my current customers find an alternative company to fill in whilst I’m away.

Unfortunately I do not know when/if I will be returning to work depending on how my family adjusts to the new situation we will find ourselves in. I will however let everyone know promptly if I decide I am not in a position to return any time soon

I truly appreciate your understanding and support during this special time.

✨A New Chapter in Tuffley: Changes in My Service Area✨

I am excited to announce that I have recently moved to Tuffley! This new chapter brings many positive changes, and I look forward to exploring all that this wonderful community has to offer. However, with this move comes an important update regarding my services.

Due to the increased distance, I will no longer be able to take on new clients from Bishops Cleeve. This decision was not made lightly, and I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. My priority is to provide the highest level of service to my clients, and I believe this change will allow me to focus more effectively on those within a closer radius.

For my previous clients in Bishops Cleeve, please know that I have valued our work together immensely. I am unfortunately only able to continue offering my services to my current client base in Bishops Cleeve.

Thank you for your understanding and support as I make this transition. I am eager to serve the Tuffley community and continue delivering the quality service you have come to expect.

☀️🐾 Summer is here, and while we’re soaking up the sun, let’s not forget about our furry friends! Keeping your dog cool in the summer heat is essential for their health and happiness.

I also wanted to reassure my customers, I do not walk dogs on pavement in the summer, strictly field walks only to reduce the risk of causing burns to their paw pads. 🐶🚫

Here are some tips to ensure your pup stays comfortable:

1. **Hydration is Key:** Always have fresh, cool water available for your dog. Add ice cubes to their water bowl for extra refreshment. 💧🧊
2. **Shade and Shelter:** Make sure your dog has access to shady areas or a cool indoor space. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. 🌳🏡
3. **Cool Treats:** Freeze dog-friendly treats or make some ice pops using dog-safe ingredients. 🍦🐶
4. **Limit Exercise:** Avoid strenuous activities during the hottest parts of the day. Opt for early morning or late evening walks. 🌅🌇
5. **Cool Accessories:** Consider cooling mats, vests, or bandanas to help regulate their body temperature. 🧣❄️

‼️Please bear in mind to not give your dog water if they’re panting too much, this can lead to serious health conditions such a bloat that can have serious consequences. Instead wait for them to relax and stop panting so much and then allow them to drink some water‼️

Remember, signs of overheating in dogs include excessive panting, drooling, and lethargy. Stay vigilant and keep your pups safe and cool this summer! 🐕❤️

While having a free day yesterday I decided to do some training with my own pup. Since I’ve had Hades I’ve noticed that there are certain commands or actions that he specifically takes a little longer to catch on to. For example when we started to introduce ”paw”, Hades just needed a little more encouragement whilst Hera and Ares caught on quite quickly. I only do solo walks with Hades right now as he is reactive towards other dogs coming into my personal space without my permission (working on gaining trust in me, him, the space around us and a few simple commands to make him feel more at ease.) Yesterday was such a huge achievement and turning point for us and I’ve never been so proud! ✨ I keep an eye out in the field incase another dog does come in or starts to approach so I can gain control of him early and put him in the sit command with the “focus” command to ensure he only focuses on me and allows me to determine whether the dog may approach us. He was off the lead enjoying his walk and I thought I’d try and introduce the “focus” command whilst off lead. He did absolutely amazing and it definitely wasn’t the response I anticipated when attempting this! Just goes to show hard work and some trust can go a long way 🫶🏼 #training #offleash #goodboy #dogwalker #petservices
