Abbie’s dog walking Dog trainer & Canine behaviourist. Puppy fundamentals, 1-1 classes, Reactivity & more 🐾 My name is Abbie and i am the owner / founder of Abbies Dog Walking!

I began Abbies Dog Walking in Jan 2023 after i left my previous job as a supervisor at a security dog kennel in marlow - here i worked with about 50+ dogs daily all working various jobs including bomb / drug search & protection work. I have about 10 years of experience working with animals professionally, including areas such as; veterinary surgeries, pet shops, grooming salons, security handling,

livestock & zoo environments! I also have a rich animal based education including; a distinction in animal management from BCA (Berkshire College of Agriculture) in which i specialized in canine genetics & behavior (2019), in person & online pet first aid certificates (2022 & 2023), a level 2 certificate of technical competence in dog walking (2023), Pet sitting & dog walking diploma (2023) and multiple other online certificates - all of which can be shown upon request. As well as my professional & educational animal experience i also have a wide range of personal experience based on all the animals i own / have owned in the past - this includes; a small colony of Madagascan hissing cockroaches, Giant Asian green mantises, Indian flower mantis, Royal python, hamsters, rats, fish and of course dogs!

Last group walk before the move! I’ve been pretty absent on social media with everything going on but thankyou everyone for being so so patient & trusting me with your pets - I hate to say good bye to them 🥹.

IMPORTANT NOTICE 🚨

As many of you are already aware, I will be moving house next month! My last day will be the 14th of June 🐾

I’ve been dreading making this post as I’m going to miss all the dogs (and people) so so much but I’m also so grateful for everyone who’s helped me with my business and all the support from my amazing clients ♥️

This isn’t the end of Abbie’s Dog Walking - we will be starting up in a new area with new pups & new walk locations so I’m looking forward to seeing where this takes us ♥️🐾

We have an update on the van!

It is booked in for Tuesday so have some exploratory work done & hopefully get whatever is wrong fixed - I will be sending messages to everyone booked in until that day. Hopefully this means we will be fully back up and running by Wednesday but at the moment that is all I know 🐾

Pet first aid is so so important - even if you’re not a professional! When I adopted Arlo I completed my first ever first aid course for him & i was so surprised to learn not many owners do that!

I would highly recommend completing one wether it’s in person or online & having a first aid kit to hand 🐾

It’s also so important when looking for a dog walker / pet professional to make sure they are trained in pet first aid - it only takes one time for an accident to happen & not knowing what to do or not having the right equipment can mean the difference between your pet getting home safe or not! This is why we have multiple in person & online pet first aid qualifications & reguarly update our knowledge & equipment 🐕🐾

Our new and improved crate mats! Why did we choose artificial grass? - we did this for a few reasons: 🐾 Easier to clean & keep clean 🐾 Doesn’t absorb liquids (or any nasties 💩) 🐾 Looks brighter, fresher & more “on brand” 🐾 Better fitted to the crates - so no slipping for the pups! 🐾 No bad smells so fresher air for your pets! Looking forward to your pups trying out the new crates!

Trying out our new portable pet washer! Definitely a must have for anyone who works with dogs! (Or has a mud magnet like I do 😂)
