Members of our equine team are in London today for the 33rd National Equine Forum - a prestigious conference that brings together influential members of the equine industry, experts and government to debate pertinent topical issues and discuss current research and innovation. It also provides a useful networking opportunity for leaders of the industry.
It was great to see our very own Professor of Equine Science, Prof. Meriel Moore-Colyer delivering her presentation earlier, titled 'Finding the best forage for your horse'. She explained the importance of assessing the types of forage you're feeding to your horse, and the effects on the horse's gut microbiome when feeding soaked or steamed forage.
Another great example of how staff and students are contributing to important industry research and conversations.
