Here’s Duggee 🧡 to say our walks in the beginning were difficult would be an understatement 🙈 over the last few month we have both worked hard to understand each other and to build a solid relationship. when i met Duggee he was a classic high energy boxer puppy 😂 so naturally when i first stared working with him he was an on lead dog with the hope of joining group walks. At the time that didn’t seem possible at least for the foreseeable future 😞 we started on lead walks but it was clear that he needed to get a lot of his energy out before that was possible, so for the first few weeks i started with basic treat training and training lead walks. he did beyond amazing at that but then again, what puppy doesn’t like treats!!🙈 once recall was better on a training lead we then went to an enclosed area to practice further which he really showed that his listening skill were beyond amazing. now to put him to the test again we travelled to multiple different fields to really polish up recall. Duggee has done beyond astounding and now even enjoys group walks with his friends. not every day is perfect! but i am beyond grateful to work with so many beautiful and intelligent dogs and know each of them on a personal level. 2024 has been great!! 😊 x
