And these 'big kids' had fun too - never too old to play! Though Aoife should have been banned for driving while using a phone! π
This cheeky kid was fun to watch on our trip!
Farm volunteer Ahmad Tizini is one step closer to achieving his dream job as he's been accepted onto a Foundation course leading to a Level 2 apprenticeship in Racehorse Care.
Ahmad is currently on the Riding A Dream Acadamy Scholarship programme and studying for A levels at Chosen Hill School. He will spend 18 weeks at the British Racing School then 18 months gaining experience at the famous Kim Bailey racing yard in the Cotswolds. Congratulations from us all Ahmad, look forward to seeing you soon! π (video supplied - not the best sound quality sadly).
Take a look! Ahmad features in this report on earlier today. Really proud of his progress in the Riding A Dream Academy. Go Ahmad! π
This is a video of Percy is happier days. Thank you to all Percy supporters who have now raised Β£1700 through the online link and in cash. Percy is currently undergoing tests at Three Counties Equine hospital focussing on his liver and we will update as we find out more....
Thumper is recovering well from his chest infection thanks to our Duty Manager Alex's care. He's bouncing around and helping himself to carrots and once his conjunctivitis has cleared up he'll be back at the farm to be reunited with his son, Shy.
Thumper the rabbit has been under the weather for the last couple of days and visited the vets this morning. He has a chest infection, and after a couple of injections he was whisked off to the peace and quiet of Alex's home (one of the staff team) where he'll recover. He seems happy there and eating well thankfully.
Thanks to SPA Vets!
Our Gloucestershire Old Spot piglets are in training! Now they've settled in we are going to get them out into a paddock during the day but first they need to learn to follow the food bucket! Pig whispering volunteer, Kaitlin seems to have made a good start!
Thanks to Cheltenham Equine vets Jess and Becky who gave our ponies a thorough check-up today. Noah was very well behaved!
We have a winner! Meet the new girls - Summer and Autumn! And the person who named them was Suzanna Brickel. Suzanna - DM us to arrange your prize ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»
